We have been working with the Toyger cat for the past six years and fall more in love with this breed every day. While they are a newer breed and are still evolving, their temperament has helped them become one of the best feline family members. With a butter soft short orange coat and striking black glittery stripes, they look more like a living work of art than their domestic origins would have

you believe possible. An entertaining combination of loving lap cat and playful clown, their mischievous antic are quickly forgiven as they snuggle up and convince you of their innocence. Don't be fooled, the toyger is quickly taking over households all over the world and holding their families hostage while purring innocently from their laps.

Microchipping? Its one thing to bring home a kitten with a microchip but another to make sure it properly registered. If your kitten/cat came home with a microchip, thats awesome! That's one step in protecting your new baby that your breeder or rescue took seriously.
But did you do your part? Did you call the number on the card or use another service to make sure your personal information has been entered into one of the national databases? Is your information current, have you moved or changed phone numbers?
Please check everything is up to date. We all know cats should be kept inside but in the event of an accidental escape, a broken carrier or emergency such as a fire, evacuation or even someone unfamiliar with your pets needing to care for them a microchip could be the critical factor in a safe return home or accurate medical care when you are not available. You can register your microchip with one of many organizations such as Home Again, AKC Reunite or BuddyID. You only need to choose one unless you travel internationally. Pick one that is based in your country and make sure your info is periodically updated. If you pet was rehomed, find out from the organization or previous owner how to transfer. You can have your vet scan your pet and record the microchip number.
The number of people who fail to register their microchip is significant. Please double check and make sure your kitty is safeguarded!
