Max will be 7 this year. Usually as yellow dogs age their pigment will fade, especially reacting to the cold temps in winter. I am happy to report that Max’s nose stays super dark year round and only turns the slightest bit even in single digit temps. I love me some strong black pigment!!

Happy FOURTH birthday to Reagan & siblings (Midge/Maverick). Reagan is AKC CH pointed and has her Working Certificate that she achieved at the Labrador National in 2023. Looking forward to adding more titles this year to her name and running some tests!

Merle was very excited to work with the shed antlers today. We’re hoping to get him trained up before the next competition 😁

Thank you North Idaho Shed Dog Club for putting on another great event! Jacob & Max took first on 1/4/25 and then I ran him 1/5 and we got 2nd. Both kids decided to enter the youth competition with Max and they both placed well taking 1st & 2nd! We so appreciate the donors for this event, and the hard work of the members!! I wish we had video of Max working, but it’s prohibited.

Reed climbed up on me and told me that I just needed some DPT. Bestest girl, ever.

I’ve had a great time watching Bobby for a client of mine. They are originally from Germany, so Bobby only knows cues in German, so I will apologize ahead of time if I mispronounced the words. Thankfully he was pretty forgiving of my pronunciation.

Collette came to visit us on her way to the mid West for a dock diving completion with Hoover. She sent me this video, and the excitement she has when he gets a personal best brought tears to my eyes. I am so incredibly proud of all your accomplishments together Collette! Hoover is a rock star! He’s the Black Labrador with the blue collar, take a watch!
