Striper: The Diabetic Alert Dog in Training

Striper: The Diabetic Alert Dog in Training My goal is to bring awareness about Diabetic Alert Dogs and share my journey toward getting a service dog with Retrieving Freedom. So much effects blood sugar.

My name is Christin Bryant- George and I am a type 1 diabetic with a later onset in life. I have started this page as a awareness page diabetics and service dogs and how the two can work together. Currently as a diabetic I have very few to zero signs or symptoms when my blood sugar goes too high or too low. When I do have signs or symptoms of highs or lows... it is dangerously too late and dangero

us for not only me but those around me. A service dog would literally be a life saver for me. A diabetic alert dog is trained with my scent to tell when I am experiencing a high or low and will alert me of my high or low. Over time, the dog is more accurate than a blood sugar meet. These dogs are highly trained and are obviously expensive. So on this page you will also see me create and post fundraising events. I appreciate everyone so much! If you can not donate, that is perfectly fine! If you don't mind, just share my page. I would love to see this page reach other diabetics to let them know that there is help out there. Stress is a huge risk factor! Now think about how a dog can help with that. Let alone alerting their person to serious highs and lows.
