10 years ago we adopted a beautiful puppy from our local shelter. We went to adopt a companion for another puppy we had adopted months before from another Rescue.

I was looking at the dogs in the back that had been there the longest when Dean asked me to look at a puppy. I took one look at the puppy & said, “Baby, we don’t adopt the most beautiful.” John the wonderful shelter mgr asked, “why not?”

Dean had never in his life picked out a puppy.
He spent a huge amount of our retirement on building the Sanctuary on our property. Dean cleans cat boxes, stalls, adm IV, holds them when they are old/sick or just need comfort. Dean loves us all so deeply.

This puppy, TOBEY, deserved Dean.

We are grateful to have spent 8 years with him. He grew so fast so big he needed hip surgery at MS State which was not cheap.
Divine intervention…
TOBEY belonged with Dean, with all of us.
TOBEY was a happy dog & he was family.

TOBEY Deyo was loved beyond measure & was & will always be a GOOD BOY 💙💜 🌈🤍🪽

This is not the end. We will meet again.
