Some of the most common questions we get are, “why are there multiple people caring for my pets?” and “why can’t I have the same sitter every time?”
At Aggieland Pet Sitting, we believe that we are better and stronger together as a team. We can also prove that a team-based approach is a safer, better, more reliable option for your pet care needs.
Imagine this — You’ve booked a solo pet sitter for your long awaited vacation. Just as you get to the airport, you get a text saying they were in a car accident, and they can no longer pet sit. Because they are solo, you now have to scramble and head home, possibly cancelling your much needed vacation.
At Aggieland Pet Sitting, we know that things happen! Your vacation shouldn’t be cancelled due to uncontrollable circumstances such as emergencies, sickness, etc. By having a team based approach, when something happens to one of our Pet Care Specialists, we can send another team member to care for your pets, uninterrupted. Our entire team has the exact same training and access to your detailed pet care instructions in the Time To Pet portal.
We guarantee that any service on our schedule WILL be completed, no matter what. We have NEVER cancelled a visit!
• More Availability: One person can only do so much. The average solo pet sitter can only work with a small handful of families before their schedule is full, and they have to turn away clients. By working together as a team, we almost never turn away reservation requests.
• Protecting Our Team: A lot of solo pet sitters are forced to work 7 days a week, 365 days a year, which leads them to become burnt out and suffer from compassion fatigue. We believe in treating our team right, which means having days off, which is only possible when we work together. Imagine if your boss came to you and said, “We have a client that will only work with you, so now you have to work 15 days in a row without a day off.” You would think they’re crazy! Our dedicated team deserves days off, too.
• Helps Calm Pet Anxiety: When clients tell us that they only want one pet sitter, they often say “my dog needs time to warm up” or “my dog is iffy with new people.” This is the case for many dogs, and exposing them to more people can help with this. Our team will provide them with a fun, enriching experience, and they will naturally become less nervous and much more comfortable around new people.
• Knowledge & Training: While everyone on our team goes through the same training process, many of our team members bring their own unique experience and skill set, which allows us to offer a much more well-rounded and professional service. We have dog gurus, cat whisperers, aquarium keepers, reptile enthusiasts, and more! We are much better together when we combine all of our different skills and knowledge. 😊 🐾
