We are a 6 doctor practice in a large, state-of-the art facility, providing the best care possible for you and your furry family. At Horseshoe Lake Animal Hospital, we believe in providing quality healthcare for your pet in a warm and welcoming environment. Our doctors routinely attend educational seminars in order to stay abreast of the latest medical treatments and technologies. We have a strong

belief in preventive care, offering customized vaccine protocols and multiple levels of disease detection panels at our patients’ annual visits. Our hospital also prides itself on having state-of-the-art equipment including a digital x-ray machine like those used in human medicine. The digital x-ray machine allows us to take high quality radiographs in seconds and gives our doctors images with better diagnostic quality. We also offer cold laser therapy to help treat pain and inflammation in a wide variety of conditions. This often allows us to decrease the amount of pain medications needed to control painful conditions like arthritis and intervertebral disk disease.

Everyone Keep Calm.. Jessi finished her LAST chemo treatment today with Dr. Helmers. 👏🏼 We are so happy for Jessi and although we love seeing her every two weeks we are happy she doesn’t have to come to see us that often anymore! 🐾

Skye is taking a hike! A bike hike that is. This is an amenity you can add to your dog's boarding stay! 🙂

Something that sets us apart from other boarding facilities is we offer unique add-on amenities. Shown here is a "bike hike" where we go for a walk on the bike trail near the resort. A few of the other amenities are TLC time, peanut butter Kongs, and daily dental chews. Please call us at 618-344-7949 as soon as you know what days your four legged family member will need boarded because we are booking up fast this summer!

Just like with people, pets need both physical and mental stimulation. Exercising your dog or cat physically is pretty easy. Getting an appropriate amount of mental stimulation in can be difficult. Certain companies make puzzle toys for dogs and/or cats that have hidden compartments. All owner's have to do is put food/treats in and give to their pet! This is a great way to exercise an animal's mind! Just look at how much Hamilton loves his toy 😁
