This listing is for our Congo African Greys. All of them have been thoroughly vetted, including bloodwork. Some are in good feather and others were previously pluckers but have ceased that behavior after transitioning them to proper diets, providing large cages with adequate toys, and giving them lots of love and attention. All of them are friendly with our volunteers but have different levels of confidence; some may take longer to warm up and trust than others. We have all males and will not adopt male and female to the same household. If the potential adopter already has an African Grey, they will only be allowed to adopt another one of the same s*x.

Our responsibility to these Greys (and all other birds in our rescue) is to find them forever homes where they can flourish and live a healthy, happy life. To that end, we will not accept applications for our African Greys from those who have never owned large birds. Applicants with personal African Grey experience will be given precedence as African Greys require families who can meet their specific needs like mental stimulation, foraging opportunities, lots of out of cage play time, and understand that not all Greys are like the talking ones you see on YouTube. Some birds may never feel comfortable talking, but that doesn't make them any less worthy of a loving home.
