- Family: 10% for day services and 15% for overnight petsitting
- Monat Business Support: 10% for all services

- Cash
- Checks (made out to Abby’s Pets & Peeps, LLC)
- Square (electronic- least preferred method due to delayed processing and transaction fees)

𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀
- Additional services can be discussed upon request.
- There are still no deposit fees, but having as much cancellation notice in advance is greatly appreciated.
- Upfront payments with established clients are expected and also greatly appreciated 🙂
- I will only charge 50% upfront for first-time petsitting clients and the remaining 50% will be collected upon clients’ return.
- If I am unable to successfully complete nail trims, a**l gland expressions, subcutaneous fluids administrations, etc. due to pet-related reasons (e.g., fear, aggression, inability to hold still, breathing complications), I will only charge 50% of total cost. This will help contribute towards my fuel cost, +/- utilization of supplies, and my time.
- Before I perform any service, I require to have either a hard copy or electronic liability waiver reviewed, signed, and dated. Each waiver for recurring services are effective for up to three months.
- Every other year, I allow myself time off from ALL of my services for major holidays. This year, I am booked for Christmas Eve/Christmas, and New Year’s Eve/Day. In 2024, I will block out these dates for family time and potential travel.
- Due to any unforeseen circumstances that may arise, I am unable to reserve petsitting dates over one year in advance. If I am unable to fulfill any scheduled petsitting jobs, I will provide as immediate notice as possible and will try to help find coverage.
- Throughout the course of my business, I have discovered more about my physical limitations. I will ensure you all individually of what those entail in order for me to prioritize my health. I have struggled throughout most of my life with intermittent (often chronic) neck and back pain and this pain was exacerbated after my car accident in 2018. As much as I love my business and this line of work, I will be required to set appropriate work boundaries for my protection.

Hello, everyone!

It has been quite some time since I’ve utilized this page so it’s good to be back 😊 I have an exciting life change ready to take place so I’m planning to provide some business updates through here!

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐄:👇🏼

Colorado Springs always has a way of calling me back and I’ll officially be a resident again in less than a week! (God be with me through all the city driving… 😅). This is the most bittersweet news I’ve shared in awhile because I’ve truly gained and have grown so much throughout these past almost five years in Pueblo West. So much of that is because of my incredible clientele and I promise that I will always be in touch 🤍 It’s time for me however to move onto my next chapter and the best way I can do that, is with some change and “on my own.” I say “on my own” in quotation marks because I know I ultimately never am and all of my immediate family will be less than 45 minutes away 🤪

I’m ready to focus on myself more than ever and to expand my business further north. I also simply cannot wait to be closer to the mountains again and that reason alone gives me so much excitement! 🏔️ I will of course fulfill the rest of this year’s scheduled jobs in town and beginning in January, I’ll be dedicating every Friday to driving back to help with several of my day services 🙂 These will include pet nail trims, a**l gland expressions, dog walking, etc.!

Running this LLC has remained one of my most rewarding challenges yet so I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the love, patience, and support I’ve received 🙏🏼 Until I find a system that works best for me, I’ll begin using this business page again to provide updates, including my service costs.

Here’s to new beginnings, to my soon-to-be new roomie for welcoming me in, and especially to my family for everything they’ve provided me! I’m so ready to do this and so much good will come from it 🙂

This winter weather reminded me to announce some dates later this year that I decided to block off strictly for family/personal time! Although I’ve absolutely loved being there for others during the holidays, I’m about three years overdue for spending consistent time at home and waking up in my own bed on Christmas 🙏🏼

𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲! 💐 One of my motherly duties, involves making sure my only kid holds still during her toenail trims… 😆 🐕‍🦺

I want to share this on both my business page and personal page because of how many people may need of this type of service!

Something as simple as going to pet owners’ homes for toenail trims, has really been very fulfilling for me. Even though I was unhappy, working in the veterinary field, I love that I can still utilize some of my skills to make a difference! Especially when those poor nails really start to curl… 🥴

So many clinics are so booked and understaffed, that most clients cannot bring their pets in for weeks, sometimes months. Within the past few months, I have met so many kind people, who have shared with me sincere appreciation on behalf of their pets. I have met animals who struggle with anxiety, car sickness, limited mobility, arthritis, and/or other age-related concerns. All of the above make it physically and emotionally challenging for owners to transport them just for nail trims.

As long as owners are able and willing to hold, I am always happy to swing by and help! Those who are unable to due to neck pain, back pain, and/or for any other reasons, I’ve been looking into possibly hiring an assistant 😊

If pets show signs of severe distress or difficulty breathing, I will discontinue the process and recommend they schedule with their veterinarian instead. Owners must also be accepting of the utilization of muzzles when necessary and understand the muzzle’s purpose of protecting everyone involved.

I’m also experienced with performing a**l gland expressions, but if I suspect there may be a possible infection, I’ll of course recommend going to the vet clinic instead!

Side note: Unfortunately not all dogs are as cooperative as Rue… 😂

Recently, I’ve been wanting to thank so many people for all the patience and grace I’ve been given. Growing a business has been anything but easy and I know I’ve made [non pet-related] mistakes. I am only human though… I wanted to give myself some grace because I know more than anyone how pure my heart and intentions have been. I am also still learning.

🔹We maintain cleanliness of owners’ homes and leave them cleaner than when we arrived
🔹We’re house sitting as well- retrieval of mail, newspaper, and packages, taking out the trash, watering plants, yards, etc.

Before this business became a full-time job for me, I did not entirely understand how valuable it truly is… I used to not believe in all the worth I know I am and I used to revolve my prices around what worked best for many of my clients. After speaking with several individuals (including other petsitting business owners and even some of my other clients), I understand now that I was really undercharging. I am indeed running a very busy business- one in which I run everything on my own. I truly have begun to take more pride in my work and it always feels great to help make this type of difference!

Good morning, everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted on this page since I created it but I wanted to share how even more quickly my business is taking off than it was before… 🤯 I recently posted about my business on the Nextdoor app and I am so grateful for how many people have taken a genuine interest in my services! 🙏🏼

Starting in May due to…

✔️much higher demand
✔️outrageous gas prices
✔️increased travel
✔️upcoming frequent oil changes and maintenance on my vehicle

…I will be implementing a slight increase to each of my prices. If you’ve already overnight booked me to watch your animals this year, I will not expect you to pay me more than what my previous charges were! Several of you also insist on paying me MUCH MORE than my previous rates so I will not be asking for more pay from you 🙂

Thank you for your understanding and the patience you’ve provided me, while I’m still learning how to navigate the in’s and out’s of running a business. If ever you’re unable to afford my services, it’ll be sad to see you go but there’ll be no hard feelings 💛 As I always have, I will continue providing exceptional value to my work, and your beloved animals will receive the companionship they deserve!
