🚨 URGENT PLEA FOR HELP 🚨
We’re calling on fosters and potential fosters in Colorado Springs to step up and save lives! On January 11th, we will be bringing 15 dogs to safety—5 already have fosters, but we still need temporary homes for 10 more. These dogs are not yet available for adoption, but fostering will give them the care and shelter they so desperately need.
Our Texas partners are overwhelmed, and we need to act NOW! Their shelters are overcrowded, and the spring surge is just around the corner. Without immediate help, many dogs face devastating situations. 💔

🌟Taylor and Family! 🌟

Join us in giving a big shoutout to Taylor and her amazing family for being our Fosters of the Month! 🐾 Their dedication, love, and hard work have made a world of difference for the pups in our care. From late-night cuddles to early-morning walks, they go above and beyond to give these dogs a safe and loving home. 💕

Taylor is originally from Michigan and met her husband while he was going through navigator training at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, for the United States Air Force. They have three kids: Marcus (12), Lia (10), and Autumn (5). As a military family, they’ve called Colorado Springs home for their fifth move. Taylor and her family are proud pet parents to two rescued mixed-breed pups, Tucker (3) and Honey Loo (2). They love exploring new activities around town and embracing the great outdoors with hikes, runs, biking, camping, sledding, swimming, and everything in between!

Earlier, we asked why dogs tilt their heads when you talk to them. The answer? It’s their way of helping to hear and interpret what you’re saying! 🐕 While dogs have excellent hearing, tilting their head might also help them locate the source of a sound more accurately. Additionally, experts believe it gives them a better view of your facial expressions, helping them understand what you’re trying to communicate. How cool is that? 🥰 Keep talking to your furry friend—they love it! ❤️

Want to make training sessions more effective? Be patient! 🐕✨ Dogs go through challenging phases, like puppyhood and adolescence, and it’s important to stay consistent and understanding during these times. 💕 Progress takes time, so don’t get discouraged if things don’t click right away.
Keep sessions short and sweet—5 to 10 minutes is often enough to maintain focus without overwhelming them. And don’t forget to end on a high note! Celebrate their progress with lots of love and encouragement. 💪🐶
