Gracie is a 5mo Goldie 💛
She is spending the next few days with me for some training!

Desensitizing, eye contact, impulse control and settle are our main priorities this stay.

This evening we explored the back yard and watered the garden. We also got a little groom in with brushing and dremel ✨

Chalupa is my first papered, purebred dog.
I have learned the most with the help of this incredible dog!
He is the reason I’m such a calm, trusting, and patient trainer.

He taught me the difference between mental & physical and exercise.

Chalupa is the reason why I health test my breeding prospects and believe all dogs should have basic health testing if they’re repopulating. Chalupa, my Big Orange Boy, will never be bred due to poor health traits I refuse to pass on. BUT he is #1 in my heart and is 10/10 good boy 🌟

👋🏼 welcome to Lou Dogs Kennel!

Starting off introducing the dog(s) that started my passion for dog training and ethical breeding.

This is my late old man Onyx 🖤
He was a $250 Craigslist purchase, from a BYB out of Denver County. He entered my life when I was 12yo and he lived to see my 26th birthday. He was my best friend for 14 years!

Thankfully he didn’t have an health complications and passed from old age.

He taught me how to be more understanding and patient. Also that time is relative..
I wouldn’t understand the value of having an emergency fund or preventive care if it wasn’t for him!

I started using my first tools as a dog trainer on Onyx and he was patient as I was learning how to use the tool(s).

The best part of it all, Onyx was around for the first few years of Chalupa’s life has helped mold him into the gentleman he is today!

Love and miss you Onyx! 🖤🖤🖤
