Pipers babies are 10 days old now and they are rapidly gaining weight. It's widely believed that young puppies have infrared capabilities that guide them to mom. Getting all eight latched sometimes requires a bit of help but sleep is underrated anyway! We still have two black boys available, please private message us for more information!

Yesterday one of our Parker and Max boys, Rip was out hiking with his dad and the unimaginable happened. About a foot off of the trail Rips dad noticed a rattlesnake. In thr blink of an eye the snake struck Rip in his face. After a very scary 24 hours Rip is home healing with his amazing family. Rip's dad did EVERYTHING right in this scary situation so I wanted to share just incase any of our other family or friends ever find themselves in this situation.
Don't wait! If your dog is bitten by a rattlesnake, every second counts. Stay calm and follow these steps:
* Call ahead: Contact your vet or the nearest emergency animal hospital immediately. They can prepare for your arrival and confirm they have antivenom. This is important because not all vets keep the antivenom on hand.
* Keep them calm: Limit your dog's movement as much as possible to slow the spread of the venom. Carry them if you can. Amazon has pet gurney's, I highly recommend everyone have one at home incase of emergencies.
* Head to the vet: Go to the animal hospital as quickly and safely as possible.
Do NOT try to cut the wound, suck out the venom, or apply a tourniquet. These actions are harmful and can make things worse.

My heart is broken beyond repair. Tonight, I had to say goodbye to my beloved Murphy Patrick. For 14 years, he was my constant companion, my shadow, and my once in a lifetime dog. He taught me so much about unconditional love and loyalty. The house feels so much quieter without him, but I'm so grateful for every moment we had together. His legacy lives on in the many generations of incredible dogs he's given us. He was a true legend. My heart is shattered into a million pieces. Rest well my boy, rest well.
