We provide all breed dog training services -- classes, private lessons and boarding school-- general obedience, household training, agility, carting, confirmation. We have indoor and outdoor training facilities at our 27-acre site north of Columbia, MO. We have a large therapy dog program that provides services to schools, hospitals, nursing homes, libraries and other places throughout central Missouri.

New weather decision - With the heavy snow arriving sooner than expected and reports of poor driving conditions already, it is no night to be out traveling. We will cancel our Monday night classes and plan to begin next week; however, those registered are welcome to come to the Saturday sections of Puppy Kindergarten or Level 1.

We do plan to hold class this evening (Jan 8); however, with the deteriorating weather, many of you may choose not to come. I welcome you to attend instead the Saturday (9am Puppy Kindergarten or Level 1 10 am or 3 pm) sections.

Ann, Roger, and Marcia Gafke have been helping dog owners achieve the goals for their dogs for nearly 50 years. Dogs have the profound ability to give aid and comfort to anyone they come in contact with. Ann is passionate about helping dogs become the therapeutic guides they can be. Dogs and handlers trained at Teacher’s Pet are in high demand for hospital, school, and similar visits to provide support. More than just basic commands, the Gafkes prepare dogs to be helpful and well behaved in home and away situations.
