Last weekend, JCEC headed off to Ridgefield Arena Horse Shows.🐴 We had SO MUCH FUN with the BEST barn family ever ❤️❤️ So proud of our horses and riders this weekend!!!

Jenna and Gon With The Wind had consistent, lovely rounds in the Intermediate jumpers! And they ended the weekend by winning the Homestead MOHJO Jumper Classic 💙💙 Love seeing how this duo continues to grow!

Mae and Wiberoh had a super show, with excellent rounds in the 1.00m jumpers! They showcased their phenomenal partnership by winning the Hearth Room Cafe MOHJO Mini Prix on Sunday💙

Joey and Clyde’s Caramel Sundae placed first 🥇 in the Puddle Hunter Division ending up champion on Saturday💙 Then on Sunday, they put in consistent strong rounds each time out. Working hard and learning lots🫶

Christine and Suzy Q continue to GROW SO MUCH as a team, every show. They competed in their FIRST hunter derby ever, ending with a lovely handy round!!! Suzy and Christine finished 6th in a competitive group 💚💚

Thanks so much to Amy and Tracy and family, who work tirelessly to put on such nice shows💙💙 On to a busy fall!

Way across the country while Joanna Levy Kyger was at Junior Hunter Finals in Michigan, Mae Lieberman and Wiberoh ventured off to show at Brownland Farm Horse Shows💙 They started off the weekend with a bang! They dominated in their .90 and 1.0m jumper divisions. They even ended up champion in both open divisions! 💙💙 Over the weekend they put in beautiful rounds, ending up 4th in the competitive 1.0 Junior Jumper Classic!

We are so proud of this wonderful team and all the hard work they put into preparing for this competition! Can't wait to be there in person next time to support and cheer you and Weebs on!!!

Just Cruising Equestrian Center, LLC wants to give a massive congratulations to Hannah Jankowski and her phenomenal horse, Forte' on qualifying for Junior Hunter Finals! When we discussed our goals for this year, this was a major one for Hannah. She and Forte' have grown and developed as a team so much and worked so hard to accomplish this goal. Hannah, we are so incredibly proud of you and sweet Forte', and I can't wait for our road trip to Michigan coming up shortly!

It was a stellar weekend for JCEC at the 82nd Annual Bridlespur Hunt Club Horse Show hosted at the fabulous Happenstance Farms 💙

Joey and Clyde’s Caramel Sundae competed in the Puddle Hunters for the first time ever! Even ending up Champion and Reserve Champion and winning the classic 💙💙

Joanna Levy Kyger and June 47 Des Bergeries had a very fun weekend together. Our June Bug is growing up with great placings and beautiful rounds 😊

Nicole Wilson and One Manhattan showed their great partnership off this weekend by putting in beautiful rounds in the 2'6" derby and ending up reserve champion in Low Child/Adult Hunter❤️

Hannah Jankowski and Forte' showed us how it’s done by bringing in top placings throughout the weekend. They won Bridlespur's 3 ft Derby on Saturday and putting in excellent 3'3" Junior Hunter rounds.

Finally, Hannah and A Few Dollars More grew so much as a team. They had many lovely clear rounds in the 2'6" jumpers and earned top finishes in big classes❤️❤️

What an amazing weekend 💙💙 We are beyond lucky to have such amazing horses and the best barn family. So proud of our team!!

Team JCEC had the best week World Equestrian Center 🐴 So proud of these partnerships and we cannot wait for the next time 💙💙💙

Jojo and June 47 Des Bergeries had a fantastic weekend together. They competed in the 1.0 meter to 1.15 meter schooling jumpers and had multiple clear blue ribbon rounds!

Sophia and Bear Necessities had an amazing show together. They secured champion💙 in the .80 Intermediate Junior/Amateur Jumper and 2nd🥈 in the classic!

Mae and Wiberoh had an excellent show with many clear rounds! They even secured 2nd🥈 in the Junior Jumper 1.00m speed round, missing first place by only 0.006 of a second! They also ended up 4th in their fast and competitive Classic.

Hannah and her horse Forte showed us how to rock it in the hunter ring. Major highlights included a 6th place out of 29 in USHJA National Hunter Derby and a reserve champion❤️ in the USHJA Hunter 3ft! Hannah also had a great deal of success in the equitation/medals, with a 3rd and 4th in her medal classes.

Nicole and One Manhattan grew so much as a team. They scored multiple ribbons in very large and competitive classes. They even ended up 3rd🥉 in the Modified 2’9” Equitation!

Last but definitely not least, Jenna and Doctor Neigh really showed their great partnership with multiple clear blue ribbon rounds and even ended up 3rd🥉 in the .80 jumpers and ribboned in the Classic!

What an incredible week for our team💙 We are beyond fortunate to get to show such a talented and kind group of horses. What a pleasure!!!

💙💙Meet The Horses💙💙

Sassy has had 3 owners her whole life, and we all are members of her very loyal fan club. Born in Canada, Sassy came to Missouri very early in life. Then named Cancade’s Saskatchewan, Sassy was first owned as a yearling by Melissa Mihalevich. Under Melissa’s guidance, Sassy started her show career as a yearling in Hunter Breeding. Dominating from her first horse show in Iowa, Sassy ended 2007 as Zone 7 Yearling Hunter Breeding Horse of the Year!
In 2010, Sassy gave birth to the beautiful and talented Deschambault, who is now a successful hunter/equitation horse.
In 2013, JCEC had the great fortune to buy Sassy from her second owner, Katie Young, a friend of Jojo’s from Therapeutic Horsemanship in Wentzville. Since we have had her (for over a decade), Sassy has been an absolute star, doing every job asked of her with a smile, from trotting ground poles with beginner riders, teaching countless riders to canter, all the way up to showing in the 1.15 meter jumpers at the Kentucky Horse Park!
Her career highlights are many and varied, including State Champion in Ground Poles/Crossrails with a young man with autism, countless wins and championships in the Jumper ring, and endless people she has won the hearts of with her sweet and kind honesty and desire to please.
Although she earns her barn name in the cross ties with some serious mare attitude, once she is ready to go, there could not be a more compliant partner for any level rider. She has things to teach to riders at every level, and she is truly a unicorn to our program. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Sassy!!!!! We love you to pieces, big girl!

💙💙Meet our horses 💙💙

Cosmopolitan, or Cosmos, as he is known informally, is a 1995 Oldenburg gelding. Originally imported from Europe, Cosmos went through multiple barns and was eventually donated to William Woods University in 2005 due to issues with soundness.
Fortunately, by 2015 he had been going to Just Cruising Equestrian Center for summer vacation for several years and was deeply loved by his barn family there. Finally, WWU was ready to give Cosmos a nice “retirement” and he got to come to JCEC for his forever home!
At JCEC, he continued to find purpose, garnering state championships with MOHJO and MHSA, taking countless riders to their first championships and blue ribbons. In March 2023, at the age of 28, he traveled to the World Equestrian Center in Ohio, where he exhibited his trademark class and indomitable spirit and won first, second, and third place ribbons (among others) for his young rider.
Cosmos defies all expectations of an almost-thirty-year-old lesson horse. Extremely bored with flatwork, Cosmos still is quite sound and adores jumping; nothing compares to seeing his eyes light up and his stride pick up when his rider points him at a jump. This past year, Cosmos won School Horse of the Year for MHSA-Missouri Horse Shows Association!
We are so incredibly grateful that Cosmos came into our lives—he is truly one in a million and he has touched so many lives with his kindness and generosity. We love you, Cos💙💙

Just Cruising Equestrian Center has one open pasture-board spot available!! The horse’s pasture mate would be a 30-year-old retired TB Hunter. He is very friendly and gets along with everyone, but he needs another laid-back buddy to spend his free time with. Top-notch care and access to our awesome facility, lessons, training, and more!
