Midwest BunFest is an annual event by Ohio House Rabbit Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Columbus, Ohio. Here ye! That’s right, bunnies are welcome!!!

This nationally recognized event draws national and international attendees, pet owners, rabbit experts, and and veterinarians. Saturday October 22, 2022

Here ye! Come one, come all to Midwest BunFest. This is a festival and exposition where participants gather for a common interest — bunnies. The masses will include people looking to pamper their bunnies, those looking to acquir

e a fuzzy-love of their own and need information, those who bunny related products to offer and of course, the bunnies themselves. Information and advice on house rabbit support will be offered. On the bunny provider side, we will have bunny rescues, vendors, animal educators, veterinarians, and sponsors. On the seeker side, we have bunny parents, the bunnies themselves, and bunny lovers. Events will include: educational presentations (yak yak), the Bunny Spa (mani/pedi and hare), Glamour Shots (say cheese!), a rabbit supply store (yum yum), and a silent auction (shh!) Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is the official sponsor for Midwest Bunfest. OHRR has partnered with rabbit rescues across Ohio and the surrounding states to build a network of individuals, organizations, and corporate partners to improve bunny welfare in our community. This event is the first of its kind in the Midwest and will be held in Columbus, Ohio. Let the first annual Midwest Bunfest begin!

Hoppy Hour is tonight from 5-7 at the Sheraton Hotel Restaurant. (201 Hutchinson Ave.) Then tomorrow is Midwest BunFest! Below are some important notes for BunFest success:

🐰 Please park anywhere in the main Sheraton lot, and then use the DoubleTree Hotel lot to the west for overflow. A huge thanks to the DoubleTree for partnering with BunFest to make free overflow parking available! (Do not park in the Marcus Theatre lot to the north– they have said that they will tow BunFest attendees’ cars.)

💙 If you able to bring cash, some of our vendors would greatly appreciate it! Not all of our vendors take credit cards, Venmo, or other forms of payment.

🧡 Check out the Educational Sessions available on Saturday - they cover a variety of important bunny topics. You can find these in the program when you arrive or on midwestbunfest.org.

🐇 The raffle drawing is at 12:30.

🐰 Silent auction’s first items will be available from 10:00am – 12:15pm, and a new set of items from 1:00pm – 3:15pm. There is a Buy-it-Now option on all items to make sure you can get your favorite treasure!

💙 If you are bringing your rabbit, please review 'Bringing Your Bunny' on the Midwest BunFest website.

🧡 There is a map located in the program. Don’t forget there are lots of vendors/partners outdoors in the Backlot Burrow Marketplace!

Regarding the Secret Life of Rabbits will be back tomorrow!
Penny Collin's chronicle based on living with three furry roommates will come to life on cards, mugs, bags, and so much more. Penny writes, "Each has their own personality. Each has their own ability to find trouble and adventure. I would not have my life any other way." Penny will also have other creative works available for purchase and be sure to check out her wonderful designs on past year's Midwest BunFest t-shirts!

Penny will also be presenting a Special Interest Session tomorrow from 11:45 - 12:10 entitled Bunny Art Inspiration! 🤩

Hoppy Bunny Prints, LLC will be returning for MWBF 2023!
They are a small bunny-themed merchandise business from Buffalo, New York. They sell custom stickers, magnets, ornaments, and keychains, in addition to bunny-themed home décor, lint roller holders, and greeting cards.

They collaborated with another fellow Bunmom/graphic artist (Instagram handle: ) to create their signature item: The Bunny Care Kit (also available in a MINI version). These kits contain the following items: Emergency contact magnet, Bunny photo ID tags, dry-erasable food schedule and bunny guide, healthy food fridge magnet, and bunny food label sticker sheet.
