Renovation Update—Four new full length east-to-west beds sketched out! First left: perennial winter bed. Under shade cloth: lettuce, cabbages. PAC choi, cilantro, scallion, kale. Garlic will be in three or four. Another for spinach. Then more spaces to carve out. Countdown to starting November 13.

The farm is currently undergoing a tremendous makeover. We’re trying to turn lemons into lemonade and take advantage of the drought-wrought conditions in which not much was growing very well to resize the beds and paths. The hope is this will make it easier to move around and irrigate in the future. Lots more to say on the blog when I have a minute.

Found a little patch of forrest in downtown Columbus yesterday during a wee internet outage at the office. This nod to nature’s irregularity ironically fits perfectly in a show called “On the Grid” - at the through Oct 4. Worth a visit if you haven’t seen it. Thank you for making magic with pompoms.

Been awhile since one of these posts but if you had any doubt that central Ohio is experiencing a drought this summer, this what the f*ckers do when there aren’t any puddles around. I feel bad for them, but come on guys! They really did have had climb for these. Plan to set out the camera tonight to see if I can catch them in action.
