Had a small but mighty group of girls join us for a revival of urban our farm camp program. Was nice having wee folk in our midst again. cora and helped keep them busy, which was how this all got started in the first place.

Just stumbled on this Fall 2020 article about us and a bunch of great growers in Columbus! Urban Farming is about so much more than food.

While urban agriculture can't necessarily feed the world, experts and farmers agree that it can be an important part of city food systems.

Yesterday we dropping a GIANT bag of kale and collards off at the Worthington Resource Pantry . It’s a massive operation - at once beautiful and horrifying. Incredible to see SO MANY neighbors volunteering time to help other neighbors. Sad it’s necessary. Thanks to Maureen, a good friend of the farm and WRP volunteer who connected us to this avenue for sharing our harvest. We’ll be back with another bag real soon!

This week has us in Boston and the surrounding area for a few days catching up with family and old friends. Yesterday’s wandering brought us to Fenway Garden Society, tended by residents of the city since 1942. Waitlist 2 years. Fee $25/year.

Enjoy these “over the fence” views of a few allotments. We saw it all from overgrown awaiting new stewardship, lasagna beds heating up, and full blown habitat for plants and people.

Another short but sweet (and inspiring) trip to Asheville, NC to visit friends blossoms creative. Included a journey out of town to check out local flower farming in action at Mandy. Holy wow! Row upon row of dahlias, tunnels full of crops coming and going, and terraces full of shrubs for foliage. Taking home great memories and lessons for our cutting garden.
