Hey guys, as most of you may know I am a pet groomer. I have been grooming pets around 5 years now & have worked in in a few different salons around Columbus but also own my own grooming business, Katuchi Poochi Grooming. As of now I work part time at a local vet clinic grooming their patients & part time I have started Katuchi Poochi grooming from my own home or mobile, traveling to clients & grooming in their home due to various reasons. My goal is to grow my business to be able to not only make it possible to do it all in one area (grooming bus/van) but make it easier on people who can’t get to the groomer as well.
I have been grooming for a while now so I know that not everyone has the opportunity to get to the groomer. Life is busy most of the time & getting the dog a haircut isn’t always at the top of the list or maybe you don’t have a way to get to the groomer? Whatever the reason may be, pets still need care and maintenance. Nails need trimmed to help keep your pet’s feet in the best shape possible! Nails left un trimmed can curl and start to grow into the paw pads causing infections & pain. When hair gets matted, it can twist & pull at the skin, causing irritation & sometimes even pulling the hair out of the skin! No one wants their loving pet to go through that discomfort. Having a vehicle I could use as a full service grooming salon would make it easier & convenient to get your pet cleaned & cared for in the best way!
I am trying to raise money to purchase a van or bus I can transform into a full service mobile grooming salon. Fully capable of giving baths, deshed treatments, full haircuts, nail trims, first puppy cuts & more! I have amazing opportunities to help people in our community who may not have ability to get nail trims or haircuts due to financial issues so we would like to be able to create a program that could eventually offer help to homeless or less fortunate people still get their pets care they need.

They believe in me & encouraged me to push this dream & make it a reality & with a little help from my friends I know I will get there. Mz Ceecee got a house call groom this weekend just in time for the Superbowl! She is one of the many reasons I love what I do. She enjoys being groomed & being pretty & gets soo excited in the bath lol She even runs around showing off once she’s done. How could you blame her tho, she a beauty 😍

Man oh man! This little guy came in today for a fresh start! He was completely matted from head to toe & his mom found us & got him in asap! By the time we started peeling back that old coat he started smiling away 😁 you can tell he was feeling much better & pretty proud of all that growth 😂

Spa day for this little princess 👑 Nice soothing bath to get her coat conditioned & fluffed up & brushed free of tangles 🪮 Then we gave her a haircut that just made her look so adorable 😍 She is just the best little girl for me ❤️

When mom tries her best to give you a haircut herself at home & realizes it might be a little harder than it seemed 😬 Good thing for Meyer she knew who to call 😁 We were able to take his moms good intentions & just add a few changes & voila! Better than ever!

Katuchi Poochi provides in home grooms for dogs that may have specific needs or accommodations that we consider priorities for your pets! Mickey is a senior Maltese who has been getting groomed by us for about 4 years now. He use to come into the shop for spa days but he is around 18+years old now & blind for the most part, sensitive hearing & feels much better at home where his mom is close by. He always does a wonderful job on my table. Now that he is a little older, he has had dental work so his little mouth is extra sensitive. Being patient & knowing how to make him as comfortable as possible is something we take great pride in. We love being there for Mickey & his Mom anytime they give us a call.

Last on our schedule today was Riggs. He is 1yr old and not been to a groomer due to his anxiety. His dad brought him by for a trial run in hopes of getting him use to being groomed regularly as he is going to be a big boy! He was a little hesitant at first when his dad dropped him off. With some play time & a little tlc we were able to get him relaxed and go ahead with the grooming experience. He did a wonderful job once he got on the table. He did it all! Got his pads trimmed, filed his nails, trimmed his sanitary areas & a good deshed bath with a brush & blowout. By the end of his visit he was chill & feeling fresh. I truly love being able to help dogs work through the anxiety & nervousness & end up being really good at what they were scare of. Big thank you to my partner for helping reassure Riggs & offer an extra hand when I needed it. Got the job done & my boy Riggs is officially groomed!!

Had the pleasure of meeting these 2 big boys today for an in home groom. They are both a little anxious so their mom reached out to us & had us come get her babies freshened up! By the end of the groom they were all smiles 😁

Busy day today! Tucker & Daisy came by to get all cleaned up for the warmer weather coming in! They both got the works and left looking & feeling so much better. Their mom sent us a picture from the ride home happy with how they turned out ❤️

Today was Jojos first at home groom. His mom recently had a stroke which has left her unable to freely travel or make it to grooming appointments & tried to cut his hair at home because it was getting out of control . So we came by & gave him a good clean up for her & boy was he happy!! His mom was too, especially since they were both able to be comfortable at home ❤️
