Chocolate girl in need of a special home. Aptly named “Hera” for her fighting spirit, this young warrior is healing from a broken leg (by no fault of her own). The swelling on her back right leg is visible in the photo.

Our vet expects her to make a full recovery, but it’s possible she could grow up with a stiff joint. We’re looking for the right family to love and nurture this girl through any discomfort she may experience later in life.

Between now and then, your pup will be dewormed at 2, 4, 6, & 8 weeks, start solid food at 4 weeks, receive their first vaccines at 6 weeks, and have a vet health check at 7 weeks. All in time for GHF Family Day at 8 weeks!

GHF Family, today it is my pleasure, nae, my privilege, to grant you the gift of opportunity. Behold, “Charlie”, a long-haired Shepard Mix who, like an Oklahoma wind, sweeps across the Plains in search of food, shelter, and love.

Ages ago, Charlie wandered onto our friend’s land after a long journey from a land far away. His eyes - warm and intelligent - speak of a thrilling adventure through the Great Plains of Oklahoma, where he endured a harsh winter amongst creatures known…and unknown. Weary from his travels and in need of rest, he sought refuge with our friend, where he humbly asked for a quiet place to sleep, a meal, and a hug.

Alas, despite our desire to help, neither we nor our friend can provide Charlie with a long term home. Just as Charlie humbly sought refuge from the wilderness, we humbly present Charlie to you, GHF Family.

Tomorrow, Charlie is embarking on yet another adventure when he accompanies us to town for our puppy health check, at which time Charlie will receive his own health check and round of medicinal treatment. Charlie’s health is of the utmost importance.

Family, friends, without further adieu, I present to you the one, the only, Charlie von Labrador.
