Beau: approx 15 year old gelding Quarter/Walker cross. 14.3 HH. Natural gait. Orient, OH

Beaus back to looking for his forever home and family. He came to us a little rough around the edges and beat up in the fall. With some love he’s back to feeling great. Beau needs someone who is confident in giving him a job and continuing to make him work at it. Or he needs a loving pasture with lots of attention and exercise. For ~15, this guy can get after it if you keep him at it. He’s a sweet boy with a lot of life still in him. Loads and hauls fine. Feet just done within the past month. Teeth just floated two weeks ago.

He’s a great horse on the ground and has excellent ground manners but needs to go back to the basics in the saddle with a confident, stern rider. No beginners for this guy. Beau’s new rider needs to know he is not a finished product, but a continued project with a lot of potential.

Beau is low man on the totem pole in my pasture. Out of my four, he keeps to himself the most. He’s a go with the flow dude. Send me a message and let’s talk about Beau!

‼️BEAU - orient, OH

- Tennessee walker (sells grade) gelding who is approximately 15 years old. He stands 14.3 hands high and is gaited. You can't ask for a better horse on the ground. His ground manners are exceptional, but he will need an experienced rider to help guide his trust in the saddle again. He has a lot of speed in him but needs a rider who knows how to control it - by no means a finished, perfect product. I am pregnant so my riding time with him has been limited for obvious reasons.

- Has spent 30 days with me where he has benefited from gaining weight and muscle while healing open wounds and restoring health. (see before/after).

- Loads/unloads in a trailer and travels like an angel (I have trailered him a total of over 3 hours now - 2.5hrs one way home plus extra vet visits & never an issue or peep from him), stood for farrier no issues, bathes unbothered, cross ties, stands like a rock being saddled and groomed with no fuss, minds his own in a pasture full of horses. A very laid back dude.

- He has a past. I don’t believe he has had a chance to actually be a horse and get the loving attention to open up. From day one bringing him home to now, we’re seeing Beau get a little s***k and personality to him after being loved on consistently. He needs someone he can build trust with.

- Vetted last 9/24. Trimmed by farrier 9/21. Additional vet checks welcome.

- Looking for a FOREVER.

Established in March of 2021, The Lucky C Stable has started a journey of repurposing slaughter bound horses for a second chance. There is one thing that has been kept in mind throughout this experience: these horses deserve better.

Beau came home with us today pretty banged up and noticeably underweight. He will undergo 30 days of training and seek his forever home once he’s in full health. This guy is an eye catcher with a sweet personality & lots of potential!
