This sweet guy *almost* became a foster fail as we say. He had a rough case of puppy strangles, but after 4 weeks of medications and TONS of love, mister Ralph found his forever home. We’ll miss ya little guy ❤️ but so happy that he’s happy!

Every once in a while we get little dogs in. I soaked up all the snuggles before he went to his forever home ♥️ to say he was a bit spoiled while with us would be an understatement!

We have PUPPIES! These sweet babies are large breed mixes but who really cares about titles anyway? 😉😋 we have two girls and two boys and once they have their first set of shots and dewormings on Monday, they will be available for adoption. Little mix Daisy is still looking for her forever home! She’s a lab/husky mix and 9 weeks old. When she came into our care, she was petrified and unable to comprehend that a human could give LOVE instead of abuse. With some SUPER loving care and plenty of patience from one of our foster families, she has finally accepted that GOOD humans provide GOOD love and absolutely would love to be a part of your family! She is excellent with children, other dogs, and gentle with cats, and ready for her forever home now ❤️ the road started a bit rocky with miss Daisy, but she is now ready for some forever love from her forever family 🐶 if interested in adopting, reach out for an adoption application!

We have KITTENS!

Success story 🙌🏼

Miss Stella was the sweetest girl who was abandoned by a dumpster in the middle of the night starving and terrified. After some slow rehabilitation, vet care, and TONS of love, she found the perfect home for her where she is finally spoiled and loved like she should be. Rescue work definitely has its share of heartbreak, but stories like Stella’s make it worth it. ❤️

Want to know Fur & Purr’s backstory? Look no further! 🐶🐱

We are a fairly new rescue out of Concord, NC. Unofficially, we have been rescuing for years as I have a background in veterinary technology and have always worked with animals. With that being said, we understand the importance of vaccinating your pets as well as spaying or neutering to prevent the overpopulation of dogs and cats. Once an animal is surrendered to us, we get them updated on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormings, spay/neuter depending on age, and perform a behavior consultation to see what they will and will not tolerate in a new home.

If you are interested in adopting, we require an application to be filled out, and we will need a vet reference. If you have never owned a pet, references from family and/or friends can suffice. We also require an adoption fee. We take pride in what we do, and are completely fine with keeping a pet until a perfect home is found for that pet. Rehoming a pet is not just a lifestyle change for you, it’s a lifestyle change for a pet too. We believe in thoroughly screening applicants to make sure the pet you are a applying for is a good match for YOUR lifestyle too.

As we continue to grow and acquire more volunteers and foster families, we will be able to take in more animals. If you are interested in either volunteering or become a foster parent, we welcome you to reach out!

Miss DeeDee was an 11 year old lab mix who came into our rescue malnourished, terrified of everything, and heartworm positive. Today she is living the good life in her new home enjoying all the snuggles from her new family! She’s finally in excellent health and enjoying the attention she didn’t receive for the majority of her life. This is one of those stories that makes rescuing worthwhile.

The difference a little love, excellent vet care, and a great groomer can make. Cooper went from being a backyard breeding dog stuck on a chain for his whole life to a spunky, goofy, super snuggly boy. He enjoys the couch life now….. and a little snow 😉 ❄️

This is one of the reasons we started rescuing. Seeing the difference in these animals lives and seeing the happiness that they finally get to experience makes it all worth it. 🐶 ❤️
