SUNDAY SHOUTOUT
It is with deep sadness that I post my Kashi has lost her fight with cancer. Her family and her brother Mooshi are doing their best without her, but her fabulous personality, her love of massages and attention are missed. She was one of the sweetest akitas I have ever had the pleaure to know and her family went above and beyond to keep her happy and comfortable for as long as she would allow them.
To you Kashi! I love you so much and you will be forever missed

SHOUTOUT SUNDAY!
Say Hi to Jack, Jack was diagnosed with a nerve shearh tumor based on his signs of having decreased use of his leg. Jacks mom, Amanda Greenwood, was unable to have an MRI done to determine if this was the case.
After several months of waiting to see if he truly had a tumor, Amanda contacted Iron Paws Therapeutic Massage and I started working with him to keep him comfortable and see if we can get him use with his leg. He has improved and will use his leg for balance and forward motion. We have amped up our game and have added cold laser and some exercises.
To you Jack! For being determined, loving and for keeping up with the pack.

Meet my Bella. She had knee surgery on one knee a little over year ago and the other knee surgery was done about 10 months ago.
When I am done with her massage and cold laser as well as her stretches, she climbs in my lap and gives me kisses and her paws!
Shout out to you Bella! You have stolen my heart

Say hello to LuLu
She had knee surgery for torn cruciate ligaments (TPLOs) in 2020 and with rehabilitation and cold laser therapy, as well as her guardians following strict instructions, she regained her strength and muscle mass! Look at that sit!!! It is literal perfection

Meet Mojo
Hes a 10month german shepard that was rescued after an FHO (femoral head osteotomy) surgery and will need rehab and laser for several sessions to build up scar tissue on his surgery side so he can be less painful and more playful!

Here is Peanut. I have used her before to show you cavaletti poles and how she great she did to help strengthen her hamstrings and quads.
Since then, she has started “complaining” to me about doing her exercises! It cracks me up and I needed to share with you all.
I was unable to post both videos at the same time, so make sure you watch them both! It will make you laugh.

Does your dog sit squarely like this top picture or do they sit like the bottom picture? Does your dog stand like these pictures?
Both of these animals have had surgery and although the dog sitting on the left sits perfectly, he doesn’t put his weight down equally when he stands. Through massage, exercises and a good home exercise program, I will be able to get these pets better!

From a very young age, Renee has always had a passion for animals. In 1998 she turned that passion into a profession. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology from Mount Ida College in Massachusetts and shortly thereafter became a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has been working in the veterinary field ever since. Renee has worked in specialty veterinary hospitals for more than 20 years. She has extensive experience in surgery and advanced anesthesia, neurology, ophthalmology, emergency and critical care and also has experience in internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, dermatology, oncology and alternative medicine (pain management, HBOT and acupuncture). Renee taught radiology and surgery/anesthesia at Mount Ida College and has instituted technician internship programs in several practices.

In 2016, Renee completed training in Canine Rehabilitation through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and earned the credentials of Certified Canine Rehabilitation Assistant. Over the next 3 years she applied this training to neurology cases specifically and is now working with orthopedic cases as well. Renee continues to work in a veterinary hospital as the lead surgical referral technician where she works to keep pets mobile while addressing pain management.

In June 2019, Renee started Iron Paws Therapeutic Massage in pursuit of helping animals by using techniques to help minimize the occurrence of the common injuries that she sees on a weekly basis. By combining massage therapies along with strengthening and conditioning, her goal is to keep animals moving comfortably as long as they can, aid in their movement and decrease pain while increasing range of motion. Renee's hope is to work with animals of every age and assist pets and their guardians with the proper education to keep them going.

Hello all, meet Toro (Santoro), he has had surgery on both of his knees (ACL tears) and due to that, he has mild arthritis in both knees as well as some back pain from compensation. We do weekly massage, strengthening exercises to build his quads and hamstrings to make him comfortable and able to allow him to run with his best doggo friends.
I travel to their home to provide this.
