Our very special boy Zamariel was adopted by the Muse family. They visited the cafe together and Zamariel chose Shelly to be his mom. He set up camp in her lap and refused to leave her for his entire visit. He will be joining several kitty friends at home and is sure to be spoiled for the rest of his days, a large improvement from roughing it on the streets of Concord with a mouth full of bad teeth and severe respiratory issues. Happy life sweet boy!

Siblings Ooky Spooky and Hauntress were adopted together by Anthony and Briauna. They first fell in love with Ooky Spooky’s picture, but when they came to meet him and saw how close he was with his sister, they knew they couldn’t separate the pair. Now these two get to stay together forever — and that just means double the snuggles!

Seance, who will now be named Opal, was adopted by the Sierra family! They were looking for a kitty friend for their current cat, and Seance made quite the impression—she gave mom sweet kisses right away, and it was love at first sight. Now she will settle into her new home filled with cats, dogs, and kids, ready for all the affection and adventure that come with it.

Five kitties found homes this evening.

Zanette and KD completed the adoption of Carlos Ramon to join previously adopted Marabelle Lavinia (now Ruby) and another kitty at home. This sweet boy is going to be so spoiled and loved, just what they all deserve.

We are sure many of you have heard the discussions in the media regarding the current government shutdown and how it will be affecting those who receive SNAP benefits and other government subsidies to feed their families.

The HSOC hosts many events at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Concord and they also provide our fundraising team with a place to prepare for events such as our annual Spayghetti dinner and our online auctions. They have a food pantry that serves many area families and seniors and the need continues to grow monthly. On average they serve about 50 families a month providing much needed staples and supplies, and we expect that number will continue to grow as we move through the holiday season and with this continued government shutdown. In addition, we supply Blessing Bags to unhoused members of the community.

We are going to be collecting food items for the pantry to help during this difficult time. Donations can be brought to the church office during the hours listed on the flyer or dropped off at Princeton's anytime and we will transport them over to the church!

Please see the attached flyer for the most needed items, and if you are interested in contributing in other ways such as through monetary or gift card donations or you wish to make a large donation drop off, please email [email protected] for information on how to do that!

If you have any questions, you can reach out to us on FB or IG () or via email at [email protected]

One adoption tonight.

Starfire was adopted by the McMillan family. They have adopted several cats from us over the years. They recently lost their most recent and knew where to come when the time way right. They met sweet Starfire on a visit with all of our kitties and knew she would be a wonderful fit for their family.

One adoption this evening.

Lemon Poppyseed was adopted by Emma and Collin. They met her at the Café and patiently waited until she was ready to go home. Now she will be the only cat in the house, soaking up all the love and attention she deserves. Cuddly, playful, and full of personality — she was worth the wait!

Bloodbane and Monkshood were adopted by Angela. She lost her most recent cat a few weeks ago to kidney failure and has been heartbroken without him. She visited the cafe to get some much needed kitty time not expecting to get a new cat so soon, however, she saw little Bloodbane and Monkshood and felt as though her late Fergus put them in front of her for a reason. As divine fate would have it, it was just meant to be. Their new names will be Mario and Luigi and although they won't fill the hole that losing Fergus left in her heart, they will hopefully help her mend over time. These boys are in for a life full of spoiling and love and everything they could ever want.

Gyah Cedarfall was adopted by Jade. When Jade first visited, she wasn’t planning to adopt a cat—but Gyah had other ideas. During that first visit, Gyah gently placed her head in Jade’s hand, making a quiet but powerful connection. On a second visit, Gyah was once again drawn to her, leaving no doubt that they were meant to be together. Now, Gyah will happily settle in as the only cat in her new home.
