Our last adoption was years in the making....literally. Since she came to us as a tiny kitten 5 years ago, Foona Lagoona Baboona has waited. She has watched her siblings get adopted, watched hundreds of other cats pass through her room, watched and waited. Waited for the right people to see her for who she was and meet her where she was at. To see the diamond that had been there all along, to see her and be willing to help her shine. Finally, those people came. Paul and Andy saw her, saw her potential, and she recognized them as her people right away. Foona never approached visitors, in fact, she rarely made eye contact with them, but she came right down and up to these two like they were old friends. We talked about her quirks, her insecurities and all the things, but they just knew she was meant to be theirs. After a successful sleepover with their other cat and a dog they sealed the deal today. And tonight, Foona sleeps in her forever home.

This adoption was a triple! Foster cats Korra, Katara and Bookworm were adopted by their foster dads, the Brafford-Lawtons. Frequent fliers here at Princeton's, they took home Bookworm to get some meat on his bones and knew before long that he wouldn't be going anywhere. They happened upon Korra and Katara in the middle of route 3 in the rain, saved them and brought them into our foster system. This turned out to be a lifesaver for them as they became very ill after coming to them and they wouldn't have survived without intervention. It also became clear to them that they wouldn't be going anywhere either. So now that everyone is happy and healthy and squared away it is time to finalize their status as official Brafford-Lawtons!
