I find it amazing that new species of snakes are still being discovered. Get a load of this beautiful creature from Laguna Blanca Paraguay. Discovered in 2014. It belongs to the genus Phalotris, which features 15 semi-subterranean species distributed in central South America. This group of snakes is noted for its striking colouration with red, black, and yellow patterns. Apparently very rare and has been listed as endangered.
