Meet our second Rooster, Gilbert.

Gilbert is a black austrolorp. He came to us as a juvenile and has lived with us for about 4 months now. He has grown into quite the handsome guy.

He is a lover not a fighter, and runs at the first sign of confrontation.

We sure do love Gibby here on the Acres.

I want to start introducing the (bird) members of the homestead!

This is Peet. He lived on the homestead already when we purchased it. He's a bit of a bully sometimes and has definitely been known to buck up and charge at us, but he takes wonderful care of our hens, and he tolerates our other rooster Gilbert.

He honestly acts like a grumpy old man, but we find that offering him a yummy treat or a big hug usually chills him out.

Barnyard mix (can include cinnamon queen, barred rock, saphire gem, rhode island red, buff orpington, black austrolorp, araucana, olive egger, silver laced wyandotte, gold laced wyandotte, and more) 6 for $15
