🎉 BIG NEWS for Giving Tuesday! 🎉

A generous animal lover who believes deeply in our mission has stepped forward with a $3,000 Matching Gift Challenge — and that means your gift DOUBLES!

🐾 Now through December 3rd, every dollar you give will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $3,000.
That’s $3,000 raised = $6,000 for animals in need like Rocky. 💙

✨ Your $50 becomes $100.
✨ Your $100 becomes $200.
✨ Every gift, big or small, goes twice as far to provide shelter, medical care, and love to the dogs, cats and small animals who need us most.

Our anonymous donor chose to support Conway Area Humane Society because they’ve seen firsthand the impact this community makes. Now they’re challenging YOU to help us unlock the full match!

👉 Donate now and double your impact for animals who deserve a safe place to land. tinyurl.com/cahsgive2025

Koda is a 65lb Husky ready to get a home for the howlidays! 🐾🎄

This handsome boy is looking for an adult only, active family to take him on adventures. Koda loves playing with toys and is the best cuddle buddy around. His ideal day would be a nice long hike and some couch time with his humans at the end of the day.

Nina and Nico- the ultimate dynamic duo ready to steal your heart!

Nina and Nico are both 8 years old and have been together since they were kittens. They have lived with other cats before but would also do fine living with just each other. They are both very sweet, Nico likes to try and steal the show with his 'PET ME' purrsonality.
Photo'd below is Nina demanding someone adopts them before Thanksgiving! Two is better than one, right? 🐱❤

Meet Paisley- a 4 year old Black Lab 💜

Paisley is a very sweet, goofy Lab! She can be a bit weary of new people but once she knows you she is your BFF. She loves zooming around and playing with toys but is equal parts snuggle buddy. She would do best in a home without children or other dogs where she can be the center of attention. She is housebroken and knows her basic commands.

Our Story

Our Board, Staff, and Volunteers care deeply about the animals that come through our shelter. We take great satisfaction in being part of this important nonprofit located here in the White Mountains Valley Region.

CAHS began its work in 2003 with one building that was serving to rescue and adopt cats. We started our dog kennels in the following year 2004. CAHS has steadily grown in its capacity and services over the years.

CAHS takes in animals that have been owner surrendered, strays, confiscated by law enforcement, transported from other parts of the country due to overpopulation, or natural disaster incidents. CAHS serves the following local towns; Albany, Bartlett, Berlin, Conway, Chatham, Chocorua, Eaton, Freedom, Glen, Gorham, Intervale, Jackson, Kearsarge, Madison, Milan, Shelburne, and Silver Lake. We strive to rescue, shelter and protect, and adopt out as many animals as we can. CAHS rescues and adopts out hundreds of animals per year.
