First Horse Camp of the season!!!!
These campers are responsible for learning the care and management of all the horses at the barn as well as improving their riding. They also help take care of Harriet the goat and Oscar the dog!

Today did not exactly go as planned but nonetheless “Wave” and Jillian were able to pull off a 5th place finish. “Wave” showed significant improvement in the warm up arenas which is a very scary place for him!

XC schooling adventures in the rain make for an extra fun and challenging time! Thank you to Maisy for coming along to video and groom.

This was “Carmen” and Sophia’s first time ever XC schooling. No falls and they got over everything they tried 🙂

“Wave” and Jillian couldn’t have had a better school their first time out practicing for the season.

Logan and “Ace” played around over a few XC fences. Logan has had a bit of a break the past few seasons so it was good for her to get back out there. She showed Ace the ropes and he was glad to get off the farm to do something fun after recovering from stepping on a nail 2 months ago.

What a weekend at GMHA!!! 5/30/25-6/1/25

5/17/25- 5/18/25 at Kinnitty Capall Stables

“Lilly” and Jillian attended the Tim Bourke Clinic. First outing of the season! These two took some time off this winter but are both really happy to be back at it 🙂 They are looking forward to GMHA!

LKTA 5/18/25 Hunter Pace

We must have negotiated what felt like 50 water crossings! What an intense first pace for “Coltrane”. Sunny” decided to out jump and leave Lorna behind at one of the crossings at approximatley mile 1 in! So we had to track her for 3/4 of a mile. It was a good thing she went over some jumps on her own and threw off her extra saddle pad. This made her easy to track. “Peanut” turned 30 this year! Who knew this would be the first pace he would lead the majority of the way. He was so happy since he is usually made to go last in line 😂 Thanks Lotta for being the oeader with him. Speaking of last, we finished in last place but we’re glad to have made it across the line. We had some good chats, laughs, and a wonderful adventure along the way. The horses are all sound.
Could not have asked for a better Sunday 🙂

“Coltrane” and Heide came to Sky Farm at the end of September 2024 but we never gave them a proper Facebook welcome 🙂 Heide tells us this bay thoughbred gelding was born on 5/6/2015 and she has owned his since he was 2 years old!!!
This pair is enjoying riding outdoors these days and is working toward building an even stronger connection. Doesn’t Coltrane look handsome in red?

Thank you Jane and Maple Hill for such a nice day of dressage! “Seuss” and “Coltrane” enjoyed the outing very much. What a nice early birthday gift for Abby!

World Horse Expo recap 🙂

“May” and Zofia were rockstars! It was their first time being demo riders and riding in a coliseum. They were stars and even got a thank you message from the clinician afterward.

“Apollo” and Jayme took their first long trip away from home together! It was very successful. Apollo was very well behaved and Jayme handled his training well.

“Sonic” was very excited and spent much of his time trying to look over the top of the stall! Howver, he got some good work outs in and enjoyed riding in multiple arenas.

Thank you to Jazz for coming to support us on Saturday! Also, for the donuts, apples, carrots, and help.
