🙂 “Lilly” and “Sonic” always have a blast but to have 3 smiling horses and people is such a pleasure. Mission accomplished 🙂 Today “Shamus” came along for some fun since he has really enjoyed the trails. May was not up for an outing so we thought why not give him this opportunity and he embraced it with open hooves. What a fun and funny day 🙂

Last month we welcomed Brianna back but this time with her own horse!!! Meet Lola who Brianna purchased in the fall of 2024. She was told Lola was a 15–year-old appendix mare who previously belonged to someone in 4-H 🙂 However, we recently found a lip tattoo so it is time to do some investigating. Lola is settling in well with the other mares. We decided to rethink her training plan and will treat her as a complete restart to give her a solid foundation. So far Brianna is making solid progress with Lola 🙂

Welcome to Sky Farm Shamus, a 15.3 hand gelding born in 2003. Shamus is an Appaloosa/Suffolk Punch who is stepping down from the UNH lesson program to join us at Sky Farm! Select riders will get to know this friendly guy. Even though Shamus likes people, we were told he prefers his space when riding with other horses. We were also told that he wants to enjoy the trails, some WTC, and that he should be limited to jumping only small fences and only on occasion due to his age. Fun fact about Shamus, he has a huge head and a mustache!

They have been so kind to us, inviting Sky Farm riders to clinics and to use their XC course at all hours of the day and night. We always appreciate seeing their stable out and about at Area 1 events. We are truly sorry for their loss and are sending healing vibes.

Congratulations to Sophia and “Carmen” and Micheal and “Ace” and completing their first try/ride at an endurance event. “Sonic” was along to help them! Now we need to work on the horses being less pushy with the vets 🙂 But what counts is the horses all came in healthy. 82 degrees was a beautiful but challenging day in terms of cooling the horses down. The horses were spirited and excited to be there. Friday night Sophia decided to sleep outside since it was so beautiful. Micheal made new friends at camp and we all were asked to participate in a social media interview so keep an eye out 🙂 Thank you to Jazz for crewing. That is such an important job 🙂
