Two of my most promising future breeders are shedding and she didn’t disappoint at all. The female is an Arctic het sable (pos het lavender and albino) while the male is a superarctic het sable (pos het lavender and albino). She is absolutely stunning and now I am patiently waiting for his shed. Can’t wait to see his new skin!!! I’m sure he will be 🔥!

Checked on the snakes in brumation and I’m glad to see they looked great. Several of the babies from this season shed and look fantastic. They are also eating great with the exception of this one baby that I still am assist feeding. This little runt hasn’t gained a gram.

All done for this season. 😊 These two clutches have kept me on pens and needles. I second guessed the sire once I had 7 toffee babies pip in a row from a visual to het pairing (the female was paired to a toffee male years prior with no success). The last snake out of the egg thankfully proved the sire was not the previous male, but unfortunately he was born without eyes. I am hopeful he will still thrive, but I guess only time will tell.

The whole clutch is out! 😊

Pairing was axanthiconda het toffee x toffeeconda 66% pos het axanthic. I’m a little disappointed that the female isn’t het axanthic (either that or I have unimaginable bad luck 😂), but I still ended up with some pretty babies/toxic makers.

Crazy update on the clutch which resulted in twins:

One female laid 16 fertile eggs and 2 slugs. Several went bad pretty early on. Only 7 remained with approximately 20 days remaining in incubation. Only one egg hatched and this ended up being axanthic twins which successfully proved my female was het axanthic.

I dissected the only other egg that looked like it might have stood a chance. Unfortunately they didn’t make it, but this egg also had twins! 🤯

I’m not sure why I lost so many eggs in this clutch when a separate clutch incubated in the exact same method only two days apart lost very few fertile eggs during incubation. 🤷‍♂️ Hopefully better luck with the second clutches.

I’m beyond excited to see my first hognose pip since I began my journey of breeding several years ago. It’s crazy, but my first success has resulted in twins!!!!

I started this process years ago and had two very disappointing years. I’m glad I have stuck with it and can’t wait to see what else hatches.

They aren’t visual toxics, but I’m still over the moon that they are here. 😃

Can’t wait to see what hatches from these 2 clutches. Truly hoping for some toxics, toxic condas, or toxic supercondas. 🤞 pairings were an axanthic conda het toffee x toffeeconda 66% pos het axanthic (female 1) and conda het toffee 66% pos het axanthic. I’m praying they both prove out for me.

18 good eggs remain and roughly 20 more days of incubation. 🙏

After two disappointing seasons, I’m really hopeful that this year I will produce some really awesome and healthy babies. I’ve witnessed multiple locks with all 3 breeding pairs. 🤞 Not to be greedy, but I’m really hoping two females prove to be het axanthic so I can produce some toxic stuff. 🙏

I love seeing these two grow and can’t wait until they are ready to be paired. I am really looking forward to producing some axanthic supercondas and anything toxic. Maddie gave me a hard time concerning eating, but she is pounding them now. Darren Aguero, I love them both. Glad I was able to get them from you.
