Dr. Rick Weidner's Veterinary Clinic

His love and compassion for animals began in childhood while growing up on the family farm in Evansville, Indiana. in Industrial management/business from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 1968. That same year he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served until 1971. After graduating Officer Candidate School, Rick served a tour of duty in Vietnam achieving the rank of First Lieutenant.

During this time a Veterinary Colonel encouraged him to pursue his dream of being a veterinarian. He received a D.V.M. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from one of the nation’s top veterinary schools, Purdue University in 1976 and has been in the field ever since. Dr. Rick has always been a solo practitioner. During the early years of practice, he treated both large and small animals. Today his focus is now on the primary care of cats and dogs. Although Dr. Rick has cut back his hours he has no plans to retire.
