Today was a wonderful day of some old friends and some new ones... All some little floofs enjoying there spa days... remember it's the time of year too get all that undercoating brushed out.. keep in mind hair pictured is just from one leg of the husky and the german shephard. Today we had a rare sighting of the Lesser North American house hippo, this one happens to be named Ace. You’ll notice that he did attack me with kisses and gave me the puppy dog eyes, this can be very dangerous because it will make you want to give up all your love and treats!

~DESHEDDING~

Deshedding is a service that includes both specialty shampoo and hair specific tools to remove the hair that is currently being shed, it does not prevent or stop shedding. A dogs coat is constantly growing and shedding hair much like our own scalps but on a larger scale.

As long as your dog has hair it will continue to shed. Shedding is a natural process for dogs — though sometimes it’s frustrating for their humans. For most dogs, shedding is an essential part of their skin and fur health. Dogs rid themselves of old or otherwise damaged hair by shedding it.

The amount of fur a dog sheds depends on the breed of dog, the time of year, and whether they have a single or double layer of fur. There is nothing that can be done to stop shedding, our goal is to keep the undercoat from becoming impacted and minimize the amount of hair shed at home.
