Friends, we’ve been able to hold a doggy Easter egg hun the last two years this year would be the third. As we start preparations and plan the event for our community we want to thank each and every one of you that joins us at our events. We pride our selves as being part of the best community.
Below we have an Amazon wish list of items we’d like to use as prizes for the Easter egg hunt in 2025 if you are willing and able to donate it would be greatly appreciated but it is absolutely not necessary. As we get closer to the event make sure to follow the page for updates on the fun and keep an eye out for the event page. 🐣🐣

Dog park Easter hunt 2025 - Amazon Gift List -

This is the Giving Tree , Mosquito Lake Dog Park Friends planted this tree to honor the staff and volunteers of the Trumbull County Dog Pound for all the love and caring they show the dogs until they find their forever home. If you scan the QR codes on the sign on the bulletin board one will tell what the Pound needs and if you care to donate you can drop the donations off at the Mosquito Lake Park Office or at the Trumbull County Pound. The second QR code will show you the dogs that up for adoption at the Pound. We apologize for not have the sign by the Giving Tree it will be up as soon as we can auger the hole for the post.

We also added a Memorial Tree and if anyone would like to put their pet name on the tree there's a pen and plastic tags with zip ties to put on the tree. Due to the cold weather they may want to bring a sharpie to put the pets name on the tag. The tags are in the mail box under the sign.

pedigree dog food, canned & dry.
blankets
milk bones
herding balls
easy cheese
trash bags
toys of any kind.

drop them off to us and we’ll get there for you 🐾

We are pleased to announce that Jenny Falvey will conduct a seminar on dog behavior called When Behavior Isn't What You Think It Is. This seminar will take place on Thursday 11/7/24 at 6:00 pm at Dogsmartz Unleashed 2460 Elm Rd NE. Jenny has been a Professional dog trainer since for more than 32 years she is a Certified Behavior Consultant .(CBCC-KA) one of just 200 world wide, she also is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). We will explore: Real motivators behind behavior, behavior that look similar but have different meanings, the medical component behind behavior and how to be a "pet detective" to help decipher your own dog's behaviors. Some examples to be covered you may see dog jumping excessively, but sometimes that's not actually social jumping, it could be something else or a dog who is frantically drinking water may not be just thirsty or a dog who frantically pulls on the leash it may not be because they don't know how to walk on a leash it maybe something else. Thank you to the Kohls cares team that helped us SO much on Sunday! We can not thank them enough for volunteering their time to our organization. They’ve hound joined us at quite a few of our events and they are always willing to jump in when and where is needed. With their help you couldn’t tell how many of our friends we were missing which was extremely appreciated. Please take a moment to tell them thank you!
