Update on times and placings for CGRC Buckle Series.
~Something I did not think about that was just brought to my attention was in barrels we changed from a who pattern at the first show to a standard pattern at the 2nd show for all groups except peewees.
~I am at work now but will fix this problem by tonight. I will calculate placings according to each show and roll points not times for barrels only!!
~I am sorry we have never ran a standard pattern before and just switched to it and did not think about it affecting our roll times.
I am really sorry for the inconvenience. When I feel like I got this down I keep learning more and I appreciate everyone understanding!!

~It's not too late to get signed up for the FRBR / CGRC Summer Sizzler Barrel Race at the Cottage Grove Rodeo Grounds.

~Char and Sterling Pew along with our arena crew have been working hard on the ground to get it ready for all of you.

~Come early and have some breakfast before the race as the concession stand will be open for both breakfast and lunch!!

Just a reminder, Open Ride Night tonight at the Cottage Grove Rodeo Grounds.
We will be starting with barrels first at 6pm then when everyone is done with barrels we will move on to poles and then other gaming events.
This should be a low key fun night to hang out with friends and get some practice in.
Only requirement is to be a current paid CGRC Member. If you are not sure if your membership is current send me a pm and I can check it for you. If you need to fill one out please feel free to use the link below!!

Who would be interested in a ride night at the Cottage Grove Rodeo Grounds?
The Cottage Grove Riding Club will be hosting a ride night every Thursday starting August 8th. Hope to see you all there!
We have the arena, barrels, poles, flags, and music. We just need you and your horse, and it should be a fun evening!!
Only requirement is you must be a paid club member for insurance purposes. A single member is only $20 and a family is just $35 for the 2024 season.

REMINDER,
~The Cottage Grove Riding Club is a member only facility and you MUST have a current 2024 membership on file in order to ride on our grounds or give lessons.
~If you are caught riding or giving lessons without a current membership on file your membership will be denied for the remainder of the 2024 season.
~The $20 fee helps pay for the cost and maintenance of the tractors, water trucks, and equipment. That fee also helps pay the insurance coverage to protect our organization.
~If you are not sure if your membership is current or not, please feel free to send us a message and we will be sure to get you the most current information.
~Thank you for your understanding and we hope that you are all able to enjoy the arena!

~It is official the 2024 Cottage Grove Rodeo is in the books, we cannot thank all of our Club members and their families enough who have worked countless hours to make this event possible, as well as our sponsors we truly could not do this without your support. Most importantly thank you to our community who love the sport of rodeo as much as we do.
~This is to all of you our spectators, friends, and family because really this is what it is all about having fun and making memories and I just hope that you all did that this year I know we did!

Thank you to one of board of directors Logan Perini and his wife Audrianna Perini for stepping up and helping out with the Spirit of BMD this weekend. We are very thankful for everything you and all of the other Spirit of BMD volunteers have done to make this past weekend possible. Cottage Grove Rodeo Arena,
The Arena will be closing at 5pm tonight to prep for the Breakaway Clinic tomorrow and the CGRC Buckle Series on Sunday.
The arena will reopen at 6pm Sunday evening.
Just a reminder you must be a current paid club member in order to haul in and ride at the rodeo grounds. Memberships are good from January 1st, 2024 through December 31st, 2024.

The Cottage Grove Riding Club Arena is now open to ride in. Please remember you must have a current membership on file in order to use the grounds. Memberships are good from January 1st through December 31st each year. If you have not done a membership since January 2024 you will need to fill out a new one before entering the grounds. I will attach the link below to sign up.
Please feel free to use our barrels if you would like however please remove them from the arena after use so our arena crew does not have to do it.

After flag practice tonight is a good time to practice for the cowhide race at the Cottage Grove Rodeo! Be sure to come to the rodeo July 7th and 8th to see this event in its entirety!

Meet Top Dollar a PBR bucking bull and some great insight to the life of a rodeo bucking bull. Healthy well cared for stock truly is the backbone of every rodeo!

Thank you to Brian Nelson for being such a great representative of the riding club and giving the history of the club at the Axe & Fiddle tonight. Glad to be a part of such a great group of people and continue to promote the western lifestyle.

This Saturday Aug,10,2019 The Cottage Grove Riding Club will be hosting a Benefit Tack Sale all remaining items need to go at the rodeo grounds located at: 77958 Hwy 99S Cottage Grove, OR 97424 How would you like to help a great cause and possibly be the owner of this beautiful wood carved horse head. This will be on display at the next Al Barber gaming series this Saturday. Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 for $20.00. Drawing will be held at the last Al Barber event September 8th. You do not have to be present to win. All proceeds will go directly to help the Wells family. For those of you who know Jessica and Clint Wells and their 3 children they are going through a very hard time right now. This is Jessica’s second time battling cancer. Her husband Clint and their family need to be focused on Jessica right now and not worrying about anything else. Today through Friday you can donate any horse items or cash donations you are able to can be collected at Wagon Wheel Feed store. All items will be negotiable and available for sale Saturday at the rodeo grounds starting at 8 am. All proceeds will then be donated to Jessica and her family! Thank you for anything you are able to do!

A Little About CGRC

The Cottage Grove Riding Club(CGRC) held its first rodeo in 1947, at the Purdy Ranch in Lorane. It was an amateur event that was so successful that the club leased the 40 acre site, currently known as the rodeo grounds.

As time progressed, club members worked hard to build the grandstands, corrals, fences and track on that property and the club is now lucky enough to own those grounds. But without the support or our amazing community and local businesses, none of this would have ever been possible.

Every year, the rodeo grounds play host to numerous events, the highlight of which is the Cottage Grove Rodeo - held the 2nd weekend of each July. Our members work hard throughout the year keeping the grounds in working condition & securing wonderful sponsors - without the support of all of those folks, we would not be able to bring this annual tradition to Cottage Grove.

This year will be OUR 70TH ANNUAL and we are so excited to bring that to our spectator and competitors. There is so much work that needs to be done to update our facilities as well as provide and entertaining time for everyone.
