We are planning on one more litter here with Mountain Top Springers and then we will be shutting down our program.
We have other adventures we are about to endeavor on.

We’ve been slightly MIA this week as we’ve been on vacation, but our vacation has quickly came to an end.

John the Baptist aka Preacher will be back home with us come tomorrow.

Things didn’t work out and his intended fur-ever home just simply did not work.

He will be searching for a new fur-ever home once I am back from vacation.

Preach is :
• crate trained
• house trained
• knows how to sit
• knows how to walk on a leash
• weighs 42lbs
• neutered
• great with children & other animals
• born May 2022

Preacher was raised by me in my home with my children from 8 weeks of age until 2. When he went to what I thought was his fur-ever home, but sometimes things don’t work out the way we want them too.
I will be EXTREMELY picky this go around with his placement.
Preacher needs an ACTIVE family and someone who can handle 42lbs on a leash! If you can’t handle 42lbs then please refrain from messaging me.
I will not place him in multiple homes before he finds his fur-ever. That isn’t fair to him at all.
I’m looking into preachers best interest.

Preacher went to his fur-ever/retirement home today.
Sweet boy is going to be living his best life in Maryland.

He will be spoiled beyond measures and I simply couldn’t have chosen a better home for him.

Officially an empty nester.
Sweet little legend went to his fur-ever family today.

I am forever thankful for the families who have chosen me to be their breeder and entrusting me with raising their newest furry family member.
It has been a complete honor meeting all of the new families and connecting with each and everyone of you.
I hope you enjoy many years with your new babies and get to experience some of the best experiences English Springer Spaniels have to offer.

Here’s to the end of another beautiful litter. This time is so bitter sweet for me as I have had the privilege to raise these sweet babies for 8 weeks and send them off to their new fur-ever.

Good vibes/prayers for our sweet Preacher as he is going in for a neuter today.
This boy is the most genuine I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering.

Gus has learned how to sit and almost mastered paw at just 8.5 weeks old!
He is doing wonderful with house training, but loves to chew.

I am so so proud of him and his accomplishments in such a short amount of time.

Hi, Hello. I’m Charlie.. The owner/operator of Mountain Top Springers. I am a mother of 4 and a wife. We also own a farm and own livestock (Nichols Heritage Farm).
I began my journey as a breeder on a whim in 2020. I have always had a love and passion for animals & after a lot of thought & research I decided to begin a breeding program especially after I had found a breed I loved so much.
Oddly enough there aren’t many English Springer Spaniel breeders in West Virginia.
I owned my very first springer in 2019 and fell in love with the breed quickly.

I strive to have one to two litters a year as this is just a hobby for me. I want my pups to enjoy being a pup and not just used in a breeding program. They are family first and foremost.
I have owned other breeds and have encountered other breeds, but nothing beats the obidence, loyalty, love, or posture that English Springer Spaniels have to offer.

Choosing me as your breeder you also become a friend for life & some even family. I take pride in what I do and have to offer. We health test the parents to ensure our pups have a healthy life. We dock their tails & remove dew claws (done by our veterinarian). They are raised inside my home handled daily from me and my children (we also try to get family members and neighbors to handle them to help with socializing).

Puppies are wormed age appropriately by me at 2,4,6 & 8 weeks. They are seen by my veterinarian at 6 weeks of age to receive their first round of vaccines and to ensure their health.

I offer lists, but I do not accept deposits until puppies are at least 2 weeks of age. I do not offer AKC papers with pet homes. Parents are all AKC registered purebred English Springer Spaniels. I do not offer breeding rights at this time (Effective as of July 20th, 2024).
I have the right to refuse to place a puppy with any family I feel is not fit to own one of my puppies.
I have a contract that is good through one year from pick-up.

Once a deposit is placed it is non-refundable or negotiable.
