Hey to all of our lovely families!
Just a heads up that I will be away Friday through Monday morning for a camping trip, leaving Ben and Scottish in charge of care for the weekend. Phone calls and messages will be returned Monday or Tuesday that are not pertaining to care already assigned for this weekend. Enjoy the beautiful weather and I’ll see everyone soon!

Punkin Pie Pet Services has some big changes happening!

First of all, congratulations to Ben on his recent job offer as a 911 dispatcher for Island County and Oak Harbor! We're so incredibly proud of you!

With Ben heading off to bigger and more important things, I knew we would have some big shoes to fill and my dear friend, Scottish decided he'd love to step up to the plate and join us!

So here's a big welcome to Scottish and all that he brings! Initially we will be starting him off with some of our regular clients for drop ins and walks but from there the possibilities are endless!

Fun Scottish information ...
You may recognize Scottish from Grocery Outlet, volunteering with the roller derby team or the horse barn he co-owns and helps manage in Coupeville! (Shout out to Big Rhed Barn!). He owns 2 dogs and 1 cat with his Spouse, Rhed in his home in Oak Harbor, but also owns 6 horses and 2 barn cats - making him very qualified to help even our biggest fur babies (and our smallest fur babies with the biggest personalities).

His passions include movies, his family, disc golfing, advocating for the LGBTQ+ community and generally being a fabulous human being. His background in CNA care for the elderly as well as a very calm and caring demeanor for both animals and people, give me all the faith that he will be a great fit for our tiny little team.

So be sure to wish Scottish luck if you meet him! We will be starting small with some of our long standing regular clients to acclimate him to our systems and standards. But down the road, we'll be expanding a bit more! You are always welcome to let me know if you have any further questions!

I would like to take a moment to thank all of my clients for their patience over the last two weeks as we have been manhandling an absolute mess of car issues.

For clarification, at one point or another all three of our vehicles have either not been starting or have required maintenance so large they were undriveable.

Although we were able to trade one in, our new electric vehicle also has a whole new set of restrictions we are adjusting to. The CRV (the main pet care vehicle) is currently at the mechanic undergoing repairs and should be available on Monday, hopefully bringing us back to normalcy *knock on wood*. The civic is no longer with us and the truck … well… we’re not sure if it’s dead beyond repair or not yet.

Special thanks goes out to Ben and Harley Davidson who have jumped in to help!! Without him and his magical motorbike, my days would be a hell of a lot longer and way more chaotic.

I apologize also to any meet and greets that were rescheduled due to this situation as well. I know this is the busiest month of the year, and I promise it will all improve.

Meanwhile, I hope all of you are enjoying our sunny weather and make sure to give your furbabies some extra treats from us!!
