RIP “Otis Batman” 3/9/08 - 9/5/22

We unfortunately lost our “Otis Batman” on Monday, but 14+yrs is one heck of a run. I was flipping through TikTok Monday night and MF Glittaman was live doing a holiday sale and I decided to order an “Otis” inspired mix, and they definitely put ALL.THE.FEELS into this mix and we LOVE it!!!

On a side note, office is nearing completion, supplies are coming in daily, production is coming soonish….Keep your eyes out for some Otis dog bowls!!!!

Meet "Otis Batman", Otis came to me one night while working at an ER in Watkinsville in '08, he was lifeless and non-responsive, he had injuries consistent of being tossed out of someone's window but that is just a guess. I had just euthanized my 17 yr old Dalmatian and could not stomach the thought of putting a helpless puppy to sleep. SO, I said I would take him, the first night we gave him supportive care, IV cath, fluids, meds to help with brain swelling, and the almighty steroid injection...he was still non-responsive throughout the next day, I thought I would be taking him back to work the next night to put him to sleep but, the Dr I was working with had just gone to a CE class about brain injuries, so we threw the combination of meds she was taught at him and by the next day he started to come around, 3 days later we started teaching him to walk (see pics), he became my son's best friend, (Otis for the cow on the show/movie Barnyard, Batman for well you know, and talking animal ((it is what you get when you let a 4 yr old name an animal))....I dropped "and talking animal" at the kid's request, LOL) Otis is about to turn 14 on March 9th (all our adopted animals had to share a bday with Riley, LOL, and we are grateful every day we get with him.
