This 5 year old German Shepherd is Sofia. She is so sweet and up to date on shots and trained. She is an inside dog. Her owner is looking to rehome her to a good home. If anyone is interested, please contact me, and I'll get word to the owner.

I had a couple of pups on Friday at a boarding facility. Her vet has seen the mystery illness in 2 dogs. As far as I know, the dogs are okay. This particular vet is a Naturalist Vet and recommends this supplement to give to your pups for their immune system.
I personally would also recommend keeping your pups up to date on their shots.
Please keep in mind too that Kennel Cough is going around as well.

To be clear! There are NO cases of this in Louisiana. Do not panic. Just keep a close watch for the symptoms and bring to the vet ASAP if your fur baby has these. Whatever this illness is, can be fatal. This is the second article I've read about this.

It is the holiday season and if you are boarding please make sure all vacations are up to date for your fur baby.

"Dr. Diggs says symptoms to be on the lookout for are coughing, sneezing, lethargy, and any discharge from a dog’s eyes or nose."

I will be keeping a close eye on this as well and keep you up to date. My disinfectant takes care of a lot of bacteria and viruses, I hope it covers this too. Stay tuned.

This momma had puppies 4 weeks ago. She's getting some extra pampering today. Starting with a facial and then a haircut and a relaxing bath. Maybe a little extra puppy massage during the bath.

Straight from Specialty Pets and arrived this afternoon! Pet Odor Eliminating car fresheners! I'm familiar with the candles and love those. I'm testing these out to see how they work.

Prada wasn't the only Spa dog today!

Loki received a detox hydrating mask to bring his coat back to life. He even took a little time in the Spa Machine to really allow his shampoo to bring that dry and dull coat back to shiny and healthy.

Full body detox wrap, Black Passion shampoo and conditioner and a foot soak.

(Yes my feet were in the tub with him.....otherwise he would jump out)

This wonderful machine helps during therapy sessions (shampoo therapy) and can increase healing time by more than 10 times than regular therapy. This puts more oxygen into the water allowing the shampoo to pe*****te deeper into the hair folical and address the skin issue.
It is even beneficial for senior dogs to soothe those arthritic joints, and any dog that has had a surgery and is in need of a relaxation day and healing (healed incisions only!)

Today Prada received a shampoo therapy session. A detox, a cleanse with the Spa Machine and foot soak, and a hydrated coat.

My newest niece (the grey) and nephew (darker one) were in need of a deep clean. They thought I was meanest person upon their first meeting of me. I bribed my way back into their hearts with treats after.

Just friendly reminder about the hotter than Hades temperatures coming this week. Keep your fur babies OFF the hot pavement! Their poor paw pads can't handle it and they will peel. Keep them on grass, get them booties or socks if you don't have grass. If it's too hot for your barefoot, then it's way too hot for their paws. Groomers all over the area are seeing an increase in peeling paw pads from burning.

I am in the process of gathering and researching materials to make a little tin for their paws to help keep them conditioned and perhaps even protect against the heat (so far I just have snow and ice but I'm working on it). It will be all natural and organic ingredients and 100% safe for your fur babies.
