It is the saddest story that happens more often than is made known. This is why our application is so extensive, this is why often we do not invite buyers inside the home, and why we require deposits. This is where we live, this is my child’s home, my dog’s home. I will not put her or my animals at risk just to sell a puppy.

Paul Peavey, 57, was reported missing last Wednesday. His body was found Saturday morning by a group of concerned neighbors and friends in the 1000 block of Two Brothers Road near Idaho Springs.12 of his puppies were stolen along with anything of value.
Peavey was a long-time Idaho Springs resident and show breeder of Doberman dogs who also trained them for Therapy work. Everyone says he was a kind person who always had a smile on his face and loved his dogs dearly.

Listen this is why we breeders don't have visitors inside our homes anymore.
And why we have cameras and security all over, and most of us simply meet at the police station for our family's and dogs safety.

Such a tragic loss. This is so heartbreaking.

There is a suspect in custody already!

Unfortunately there has been a lot going on recently and we will not be having a fall litter or any for the near future. The breeding community can be tough and at this point I’m taking a huge break away from it due to recent events. Me and the pack will be focusing on enjoying life and learning some fun new things!

Please advocate for your dog and teach your children to respect them.

With children and pets spending more time together over the summer holidays, it's super important to watch dogs closely and listen to their body language ⚠️

Dogs' stress signals often get misunderstood or missed, with some owners not realising their dog is unhappy until they growl, snap or even bite.

The canine ladder of communication is a useful guide, showing the different signals dogs show through their body language to communicate. As a dog gets more upset, their body language may change according to the steps on the ladder 🚦

It’s important to note that all dogs are different - not every dog will show every behaviour on the ladder and might not follow the same order.
