Cheryl and Johnny’s Story...
We have been caring for other people’s doggie family members in our home and kennels for 20+ years. I have always had a passion for animals and children and this year I am retiring as Principal for a Middle School. I have also been an Assistant Principal and teacher in 2 Elementary Schools in my 30 year career in Education. I treat my 4 legged guests just like my beloved students!
With my retirement I plan to continue caring for your dogs in my home and kennel which is adjacent to and in full view of our home. We enjoy spending time on our covered deck that is almost more comfortable than our bedroom and even has a full sized bed swing with a mattress!
I have lots of experience and am very hands on. I enjoy taking care of and teaching dogs in a positive and loving way just like my former students. As most of my close friends know, I also have a soft spot for rescue and have been a volunteer foster home for Companion Animal Rescue, Inc. (CARI) for many years. I have been the volunteer Surgical Coordinator for their Low Cost Spay Neuter since their opening! Both programs are located in Rutledge, Ga. I will be keeping busy but I so enjoy giving back to the community of dog lovers that have shared my passion.
