I strive to provide the worlds most recognized effective and respected holistic healing service for dogs, cats and other small animals. Whether it’s a relaxation massage or a massage designed to relieve injuries, sore muscles, arthritis or other ailments my mission is to provide the most professional service of its kind. I am Dee Close and I fully understand that the quality of my service is the c
ornerstone of my reputation and I embrace the many challenges and opportunities that will lend to my legacy. I am a graduate from the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy Small Animal Massage Program (200 hr) and I am a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid by PetTech. I am also a Reiki Level II Practitioner and can do human as well as animal healing sessions. At K9 Massage Matters in Cranston, Rhode Island, I specialize in dog massage services. Massage therapy is not only to help relieve pain and stiffness but can be used as a preventative therapy in K9 athletes. My primary focus with this is to provide massage therapy to K-9’s preparing to engage in dog agility competitions or to provide a soothing and welcome post competition massage to relax and cool them down
My method of K9 sports massage is a non-invasive, therapeutic application of massage that is applied to dogs pre and post events. This technique of massage focuses on the cause, not the symptoms, of an injury to the muscle. The intent is not just to reduce muscular pain but to help prevent future injuries to the muscles. Massage therapy works in conjunction with traditional veterinary medicine to improve and maintain the best possible physical condition for your animal companion.
