Your dog is running your life. And you’re letting him.

You cancel plans because you don’t know what he’ll do around new people. You hold the leash a little tighter every time you see another dog coming. You’ve started saying “he’s just like that” or “he is just protective” so often you almost believe it’s permanent.

It’s not. The problem isn’t him being “bad.” The problem is nobody’s ever shown him what’s actually expected.

Communicate, motivate, and engage.

You don’t have to keep shrinking your life around your dog’s behavior. Send me a message and let’s see if we’re a fit to fix it.

Are you dreading having to walk your dog?

Would you rather be excited about walking your dog?

You see all the instagram reels of cute dogs on a walk and you wish that could be you.

The YouTube videos didn’t make send and the Positive Reinforcement only trainer told you to avoid other dogs, took your money, and never help you solve the issue.

Ready to solve that issue and be excited to go on a walk with your dog?

You love your dog. That was never the problem.

You feed him well. You take him to the vet. You bought the bed, the toys, the treats. You’ve poured love into him since day one.

So why does he still pull you down the street? Why does he still bark at every dog he sees? Why does he still act like he can’t hear you?

Here’s the hard truth: love was never the missing piece. Communication was.

Your dog doesn’t need more love. He needs to understand you. He needs clear leadership, clear boundaries, and a way to know what you’re actually asking of him.

Once that clicks, everything changes.

If you’re tired of loving a dog you can’t seem to reach, comment REACH and I’ll show you where to start.

To the fathers today,

The ones who show up. Who stay steady when the house feels like chaos. Who provide structure not because they want control, but because they know their family rests easier when someone they trust is leading.

That’s what fatherhood is. Stewardship. Responsibility. Love with a backbone.

And it’s the same thing our dogs need from us. Not domination. Leadership. A calm, clear presence that says, “I’ve got this — you can relax.”

If you lead your home well, you already have everything it takes to lead your dog well too.

Happy Father’s Day. Lead well today.

Most people repeat commands.

Sit. Sit. SIT. SIT.

Every time you repeat it, you teach your dog the first one doesn’t count. You’re training him to wait for the fourth ask.

Say it once. Then help him do it. Then mark it.

One word. One meaning. Every time.

That’s where clear communication starts.

Shabbat Shalom.

As the sun sets and we step into rest, a verse worth sitting with:

“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me, and the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”
— Yochanan (John) 14:21, CJB

Love and obedience were never meant to be opposites.

We tend to think of obedience as cold. Restrictive. The opposite of relationship. But Scripture shows us something different — that keeping the commands is how love is made visible. Obedience isn’t the absence of love. It’s the proof of it.

I see a small picture of this every day in my work. A dog who trusts his leader, who understands the boundaries, who knows what’s asked of him — that dog isn’t oppressed. He’s at peace. He rests in the relationship because he trusts the one leading him.

It’s a quiet echo of the same truth. We find our peace not in the absence of order, but in trusting the One who gives it.

May your home be filled with rest tonight.

Shabbat Shalom.

I’m about to do something I haven’t done before.

For the past two years, I’ve been working one-on-one with families across Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, teaching them how to take their dogs from chaos to peace using a biblical framework.

In a few weeks, I’m opening the door so more of you can learn it.

It’s free. It’s online. It’s one night only.

Full details drop Monday.

Have you noticed that a lot of dog trainers say something along the lines of, “we are going to help you strengthen your relationship with your dog!”

It sounds good.

But…

Let’s be honest, you don’t need a dog trainer for that.

You actually need a dog trainer that will teach you how to communicate motivate and help you establish boundaries.

Comment or DM the word COMMUNICATION if this sounds like what you are looking for.

Living with a reactive dog is like living with a secret that eats away at you.

You time your walks for when no one's out.

5 AM or 11 PM. Side streets. Empty parks. You sneak your dog out to go to the bathroom.

You cross the street before they even see you coming. You apologize to strangers for your dog.

You wear sunglasses so no one recognizes you.

This isn't who you wanted to be when you got them.

You don't have to live like this.

Come clean.

DM me. Let's talk.
