Lobbyists have convinced Senator Leising to change her mind and hear SB 134, after removing it from her agenda earlier this week. The Chairwoman would not put it on the agenda if she didn’t have support to move it out of committee, so we MUST turn our efforts to contacting all members of the Senate NOW to stop this terrible bill.

Just had a wonderful experience at the Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary in Gibbon, Nebraska. The area near Kearney is known for the sandhill crane migration that occurs every spring. The bird count on Monday was 625,000 plus! That's a whole lot more than we see in the Jasper Pulaski area here. These photos and video were taken on a cold, windy (25mph+),snowy-rainy sunrise, as birds were leaving the Platte River where they roost overnight.
Thank you to the International Crane Foundation for sponsoring such an interesting and meaningful tour.
Definitely worth the 10+ hour drive to get there!
