Meet Kelsey Webb - one of our latest, stellar riding instructors! ✨
🐴 Introduction to Horses:
From a young age, Kelsey immersed herself in the world of horses in Fair Hill, MD. Initially, she fell in love with horse camps, which later blossomed into a commitment to individual lesson training. At her previous barn, Kelsey took on the responsibility of caring for the facilities and the horses. This year, she contributed to running summer camps at SGF and has been teaching beginner lessons throughout the season.
👩🏼🏫 Teaching Philosophy:
Kelsey’s goal is to build confident riders by establishing a solid foundation in basic riding skills and horsemanship. She believes that any level of riding success is possible when you take the time to form a strong bond with your horse, become independent in handling equipment and tacking up, and pace yourself at the beginning of your riding journey.
🍃 Life Outside of Instructing:
In addition to being an equestrian instructor, Kelsey teaches elementary music in Allegany County public schools. During weekends, you'll find her singing karaoke, playing roller derby, walking her coonhound Nando, or enjoying various outdoor adventures.
📝 Insight:
“Riding can be a lifelong passion, so always follow your interests and pursue what excites you at any age.” - Kelsey
