Spring Gap Farm offers a fun, safe enivronment with terrific instructors and horses for your child (or yourself) to learn all about horses. Each lesson is structured to include time for grooming, handling, and riding. Lessons are individualized based on a rider’s abilities, goals and learning style. All lessons and activities take place in a non-competitive, friendly, and supportive environment which enables students to meet their potential void of pressure and without the fear of failing. ✨

Meet our beloved, well rounded horsewoman, Kina Davis! ✨

In 1960 Mike and Norma Twigg, Kina’s grandparents, bought the property that would become Spring Gap Farm. Kina spent most of her childhood on her grandparents’ farm and always thought of it as her home.

From 2005-2010, Kina taught riding lessons and became the head IHSA coach at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA.

From 2010-2014, she traveled and trained at various stables in Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. She even traveled to California to further her skills. In 2014, she went to Ireland to fox hunt with the best. She traveled and trained to become the devoted, well educated equestrian we all know and love today.

In 2015 Kina rebuilt the barn, created a riding ring, started teaching lessons, and built Spring Gap Farm. Today, she owns and operates the farm.

With a vast knowledge of horses and horsemanship, Kina has so much to offer clients of all ages and skill levels in the tri-state area and beyond.

Day one of session three!

Our exciting summer camp is designed for children of all skill levels. Campers will learn about horse safety, grooming, how to ride independently, and more! ✨

When your child goes to our summer camp, they’ll do much more than just learn how to ride a horse. Riding horses builds character and compassion and teaches discipline.

Working with a horse teaches kids how to listen to non-verbal cues and show respect and empathy for animals. This can also teach campers how to work better with people and the value of teamwork. 🐴

Parents may worry about whether an equestrian summer camp is safe, especially if their child does not have prior riding experience. Fortunately, Spring Gap Farm puts forth extra attention to making sure your child has the proper gear, the right training, and close supervision by experienced instructors and counselors. 🤗
