Well folks, we’ve relocated to north central Texas, and I couldn’t be more excited to start seeing horses in this state! My main focus will be offering chiropractic and acupuncture services with a whole body veterinary approach to healing and supporting the athlete, work, and pleasure horse alike. DO YOUR HORSES NEED TRIMMED?

My friend is coming in from Texas and will be here Thursday afternoon/Friday Morning. If anyone is needing their horses trimmed in this area. He will be traveling through the Fannin County area (Texas) on the way here as well and can stop and trim. Afterwards will be in Bennington OK. Bring your horses out! Horseback Riding Lessons:

I relocated to Bennington OK at the beginning of the year and paused riding lessons with my program.
I am ready to accept just a few clients at the moment and wanted to see if the interest was there.
**I can work with beginners through intermediate riders, work with you and your horse to solve behavioral problems or team building/learning new task.
**Do you have a problem child acting out that needs an outlet with structure and discipline? I handle that as well.
I have references if needed and open to sharing more about my program.

Today was graduation day for Adonis! This one was a quick and easy 30 days breaking this guy to ride. He was very laid back and lazy so that definitely helped! I enjoyed working with this draft horse! I believe he will soon be available for adoption through Stormbrook Farms !!!

So happy with this but ole softy. When he first came he wouldn't lunge... Wouldn't whoa.. now he is doing all the above and riding out well too! He never gets in much of a hurry but he is doing good for 2 weeks of training!

I just want to take a moment to put things in a bit of a perspective light. I'm sure EVERYONE is enjoying the joy of your horses blowing their coats! Am I right?? The constant brushing a complete mini horse off of the everyday? I curry and I curry and I get nowhere 😂... I've brushed this particular horse EVERYDAY since the first week of March. If you zoom in on the ground you will see today's progress and I only did the top of the back and the sides of belly, as they are the most furry still.
Now let's think here.... Allllllll this fur! Could you imagine wearing that ?? Be pretty toasty right?

So let me ask, WHY ARE YOU BLANKETING YOUR HORSES?

A horse is designed to adjust their coat in winter to keep warm! They have the ability to fluff up and make a warmer coat. Don't believe me? Look it up!

*** I do believe it's okay to use a blanket in some cases. Extremely thin horses do not have the fat reserves to keep themselves warm. Also as a horse gets in his geriatric years they will have trouble maintaining heat. ***

In the saddle with both horses I'm working ! Today was first time ride for Ms. Dunny. She did pretty good but was certainly spring loaded. I took Adonis out of the round pen today and it took him a minute to level out and stop pulling so much but in the end he was doing great too. Hoping to get a headstall on both of them soon!

Adonis is getting better and better under saddle. I thought I was going to switch from halter to headstall today but learned I don't have one quite big enough for him. 🤣 Dang draft horse! So his owner is working on getting a setup for him but until then we will continue to ride !!!

Meet the new recruit number 2! Adonis! This is a huge boy! I'd say over 17 hands. He is a rescue with Stormbrook Farms and one of the last few horses on my list for this year. ( At least until late summer, early August when I'll start again) Adonis just came a few days ago and we have been doing a little ground work to get to know each other. Today I threw a saddle on him and stepped on up. He is a very gentle giant. Ready to see where he goes!
