Our favorite kind of success story. Helen here was brought to us two years ago. She was hanging out at a factory and being cared for by the workers. We'll today one of the original people who cared for her, came to adopt her. Congratulations Helen, we're so happy for you! 🥹
We're still fundraising for our little eyeball kittens. Crumbl had her surgery already. She had one eye removed for 900. We still have 3 more kittens who will be going in next week. I forgot to post about little popcorn getting adopted! He makes number 11 since we started our cat "sale" he gets to go live with his sister! Don't mind the carrier pic, he's so wiggly I can't ever get good ones of him. 😂
This guy was brought to us as a medical intake. He is from Toledo. Pupils aren't even, which can be a sign of head trauma. He is an adult male, neutered, and front declawed. He's underweight, covered in fleas and also has minor wounds on his feet. It also seems like he was recently groomed. If you know this cat, please reach out. He does not have a chip.
The sweet little white kitten I took in is doing well! He's having some problems pooping, but other than that he's a healthy happy boy! He looks so much better than he did on intake. ❤️
Our sweet little Scrap cat is back home and resting. Heritage did a great job patching him up. He's got a long road to recovery, but he's already purrs and one pawed biscuits. ❤️
Our little Scrappy cat is living up to his name! He is out of surgery and doing well! I pick him up sometime tomorrow. Thank you all so much for the donations and help for this baby!
edit: It's weird how many people are defending this senseless cruelty. Regardless of why this cat was shot, it was unnecessary. This is a friendly cat, who comes when called and can be picked up. If someone didn't want him on their property, they could have easy removed him via kind methods. They did not need to shoot him.
I am at the vet new with our new boy Scrap. We did x-rays and found out he was NOT attacked by another animals. He was shot. He has a bullet in his chest. Not a BB, not a pellet, a bullet. The gunshot managed to miss everything important, but destroyed his arm. I am leaving him at heritage for emergency surgery. They will be removing his leg and trying to get the bullet out. He is a kind, sweet cat. He is currently purring while attempting to clean his arm. He deserves this chance at a good pain free life.

Just picked this guy up from medvet. He is a kind older gentleman who appears to have been attacked by a larger animal. His right front arm appears to be broken and hanging out of the socket, and there are bite wounds on his neck. Despite it all, he is purring and loving. It has been very busy here, so I've slacked a bit on some updates! But here is an awesome one! Remember Edin? The little kitten who came to us with both front arms broken? Well after waiting for her good arm to heal we got the great news that her bad arm also healed perfectly as well! She ended up not needing an amputation. We got her in right after that to be spayed, and today she went back home to the family who originally saved her off the highway. I'm so pleased with how this all turned out. Congratulations Edin, on your good health and amazing family! ❤️

Tarot is a young adult male from our most recent hoarding case. He is such a pretty and well mannered boy. The house we took him from bad 105 other cats, who were fed just here and there. Tarot was one of the underweight cats who was struggling to fight for food. I can't imagine how overstimulating and chaotic it must have been to have lived there. Now he spend this time making up for all the rest and relaxation he's missed out on. If you're looking for a sweet couch potato here he is. He's great with other cats, loves pets and being in your lap, and uses his litterbox perfectly. He's a beautiful and kind boy. Moria would love to find her forever home! She is incredibly friendly, and amazing with other cats. She also loves to talk and will meow back at you. Shes very goofy. She is from the abandonment case last summer. We aren't sure how old she is, but we believe her to be a young adult, probably around 2 or 3. She would make an amazing addition to any family!

Some more special adoptions we would love to see happen. The first few pictures are of Frankie and Chappie. They are a bonded pair.
Frankie, orange and white, is a female and she can be a bit shy. But she is also a sweet and gentle cat. She's a pretty big girl, who is missing her front teeth. So her tongue sticks out 😋
Chappie, black and white, is a male. He is very friendly and outgoing. He loves to lick people and force you to pet him. 😂
These two are littermates who were adopted from us 5 years ago as kittens. They were rehomed to a women who passed away and I happened to see a Facebook post of them once again being rehomed. I drove 5 hours altogether to get them back. I need them to stay together and to finally have a forever home. They're very good cats who deserve that. They use the litterbox just fine. They can be grumpy with new cats at first, but get over it pretty quickly.
Because Frankie can be shy I would prefer them to go to a home without young kids. Once Frankie warms up she is a lap cat. She was friendly with her whole family and relatives who visited. They are currently being house in our office. So it would be super awesome to get that space back. lol. They are being housed with 3 other cats and doing absolutely fine with them!
The last picture is of Jasper. He is 5 or 6 years old and front declawed. He is a gentle giant. He can also be a bit shy, but comes around pretty quick. He loves attention and does amazing with other cats. I would also prefer for him to go to a home without young kids. He gets startled easily. He came with 2 brothers who have to stay here at the sanctuary, but we'd love to get Jasper a shot at finding his forever home! He also lost his owner who passed away. Even though he is declawed he uses his box well and does not spray!

The first picture was our original 3, and their adopted sister Crumbl. The second picture is from that very poorly litter of 4 we took in last week. Four of these kittens will nerd eyes removed. In March of 2022 we worked a hoarding case and took on many babies. While most were adopted, some have still been hanging out with us. Today one of those babies finally found his forever home! Elton is a great guy, who is so friendly and loving. I am so pleased he was finally chosen. 🥹 Congratulations Elton. We will miss you, but we're so happy for you!

3 days difference. These little babies are fighters!!!
Two extra special ladies looking for their forever homes.
1st Pic is Hummus! She is an adult female around 3 years old. She is sight impaired but gets around just fine! She has great litterbox habits and does great with other cats. She is super playful and funny.
2nd Pic is Shorty. Shorty was one of our most recent hoarding case cats, who we would REALLY like to get placed. Shorty is missing a back leg and has some minor spine deformities due to being in**ed. She is a little lady at 4lbs. She has been having some pain lately and we think our solid concrete floors aren't helping. She would really benefit from being in a home with carpet, and living and easier quieter life and possibly some arthritis meds, which we are more than happy to buy you a large supply of them for her! She is great with other cats, or gentle dogs. She also loves being carried around. She is a really great cat, who just needs a quiet place to spend her life. She is probably around 6 years old.

We cannot do that without adoptions. So next week, we will be doing an "open" adoption for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thursday 3/31, 12 pm - 5 pm Friday 4/1, 11am - 3 pm Saturday 4/2, 12 pm - 6 pm These days, you can show up anytime to meet cats! If you send us an application before those days, we can get you pre-approved, and you can take home your new family member that day. If you aren't sure you want to adopt, you are welcome to come and meet all the cats and fill out an application (if you fall in love) while you are here. Give us 24 hours to approve it, and you can come right back to get your new baby. Some important details 1. We have cats of all ages, colors, and personalities. There are almost 50 cats ready to go right now. 2. Your new cat will be fixed, Fiv/FeLV tested, rabies vaccinated, and have at least their first FVRCP vaccine. 3. They will be given a dewormer and dose of revolution that day. 4. If you have ANY issues with your new friend, we do lifetime returns. For the first 14 days after adoption, we cover any vet bills for things we could have missed. 5. If you are going to adopt that day, you MUST bring a carrier, no carrier, no take home. 6. Unfortunately at this moment, the building is not wheel chair accessible. I am working very hard to change that as soon as possible, and I apologize deeply apologize to everyone for that. A surprise kiss
This is Delilah! She lives here at the rescue. She has always been very feral. No touching, petting, picking up and runs if you walk near her. She really likes to go down to the basement. Today I was doing laundry down there and spending time with our 'basement gang' which are the cats who like to go down there. Its adults only, so most of the older cats like to chill down there away from the chaos of the kittens. Delilah has lived with is for almost two years. While I was down there she was rubbing up on Crane (who she is bonded to) and I leaned down and she let me pet her. I have never touched her, or petted her at all! This is an amazing step for her and I'm so excited! She did get weary again once I stood up, but shes making progress! I wonder what changed her mind?

Theo is kinda weird. 😹😹😹😻 Theo is one of our special needs kitties! She is available for adoption, but her issues restrict her from being placed with any children. Theo had a severe rectal prolapse as a kitten. This has resulted in very weak rectal muscles. Because of that Theo has a hard time making it to the litterbox and her poos are typically liquid. She is not sick, she just doesn't have the muscles to properly process feces. BUT even if she can't make it to the litterbox, she does usually make it atleast to the litterbox room! Shes a very sweet little girl, who needs a VERY understanding home. Shes a little over a year now. Shes a bit timid and doesn't enjoy being picked up. But LOVES to be cuddled and touched. She especially loves head scratches and rubbing her face on men's facial hair. 😂 she's a little character. Her adoption fee is 50 dollars with an approved application.
