💕 “On the ninth day of Christmas, we’re feeling…

Blessed! Let's all share a heartwarming story of a pet you helped this year.

Here is one of our most recent ones.

A Story of Kindness and New Beginnings

Back in September, we had a kindhearted client who found herself in a bit of a predicament when a stray cat wandered into her backyard. The cat appeared skinny, dehydrated, and in need of care. Naturally, she offered the cat some fresh water. Over time, the little visitor started coming back each day, gaining weight and looking much healthier. Eventually, it became clear that the cat was pregnant. Soon after, the cat gave birth to four kittens—two boys and two girls—and just like that, our client had five mouths to feed.

Fast forward six months—yes, only six months—and the cat was pregnant again. At this point, the client, who is widowed and unable to lift heavy items, reached out to us for help. She had tried contacting animal control but was unable to comply with their requirement to bring the cat in herself. Dr. Stark assured her that we could assist. Arrangements were made for her to bring the kittens to us, two at a time. We spayed and adopted out the litter, but the mother cat stayed with our client, who had named her Becca.

Becca was a beautiful and affectionate young cat, not much more than a kitten herself. The very next day after settling in to our clinic, she gave birth to eight kittens—yes, eight!

It was an exciting and memorable day for all of us at the clinic. We were fortunate that all eight kittens were born without complications. Becca was an attentive and loving mother, caring for each kitten diligently. As the weeks passed, the kittens grew quickly, and when Becca was no longer nursing them, we were able to spay her.

Once Becca’s kittens were old enough, we found loving homes for each one. The client took Becca back home, where she remains a cherished companion.

We are happy to share that all of Becca’s kittens are now living their best lives with their new families.

🎄🐾 HOLIDAY TIPS FOR PET SAFETY 🐾🎄

The holidays are exciting, but they can be overwhelming for our pets. Did you know vets see 48% more emergencies this time of year? Let’s keep our furry friends safe and stress-free!

✨ PLAN AHEAD Keep these essential numbers on hand:
• Your vet’s clinic number
• 24/7 emergency veterinary clinic number
• ASPCA Poison Control Center: 888-426-4435
• Pet Poison Helpline: 855-764-7661

🍗 Food Safety: Keep holiday treats like chocolate & fatty foods out of reach. Offer safe snacks like our Raw Chicken Paws or Raw Grassfed Beef Bone Treats instead.
🏡 Comfort is Key: Create a quiet space for your pet to escape the holiday hustle. CBD oil can also help ease their anxiety. We recommend https://cbddoghealth.com
⚠️ Secure Hazards: Holiday plants, tree water, wires, and candles can pose risks—keep them out of reach.

A little planning makes for a peaceful holiday for everyone! 🎅🐕🐾

Microchipping a pet is an important safety measure. It provides a permanent form of identification linked to the owner's contact information. This can be crucial in case of loss or theft. We see, both, cats and dogs, that are lost, that were never chipped and we have no way to reunite them with their owner. It's really sad.
Call us today, if you need to get your pet microchipped!

🐾 10 Tips for a Smooth Vet Visit 🐾

Regular vet checkups are the key to keeping your pet happy and healthy! Even if your furry friend is feeling fine, those annual visits 🩺🐶🐱 are essential for catching potential issues early. Follow these tips to make your next trip to the vet stress-free for both you and your pet:

1️⃣ Start with a clean pet 🛁✨: Make sure your pet is freshly bathed and clean before the visit. A clean coat helps ensure accurate exams and keeps everyone comfortable!

2️⃣ Keep your pet secured 🔒🐕: Use a short leash or carrier to keep your pet safe in unfamiliar surroundings. Pets love to explore, but safety always comes first!

3️⃣ Accidents happen 💩😅: If your pet has an “oops” moment, no worries—just let the staff know so we can clean up quickly and keep the space fresh for everyone.

4️⃣ Stick to your appointment ⏰📅: Arriving on time helps us care for all of our furry friends efficiently. Tardiness can disrupt the schedule for others.

5️⃣ Be present during the visit 📵👀: Stay attentive and avoid distractions like phone use while in the exam room. Your pet needs your full focus to stay calm and cared for.

6️⃣ Come prepared with questions 📝🤔: You know your pet best! Jot down any questions or concerns about their health, behavior, or diet beforehand to make the most of your visit.

7️⃣ One pet at a time 🐶➕🐱: Schedule separate appointments for each pet to ensure they get the one-on-one attention they deserve.

8️⃣ Have medical history ready 🗂️💉: Keep records of vaccines, treatments, and health conditions up to date. It’ll save time and help us provide the best care possible.

9️⃣ Update your contact info 📞📬: Make sure your address, phone number, and emergency contacts are current, especially when microchipping. This info is critical if your pet ever gets lost!

🔟 No pet relinquishment at the clinic 🚫🐾: If you’ve found a stray pet, please don’t expect veterinary clinics to take responsibility. Instead, reach out to rescues or humane societies who are equipped to help.

Let’s keep tails wagging and purrs going strong! 🐕❤️🐾
