Edith was up, pacing, much the of the night. We went to the vet as early as possible for examination. The prognosis was very grim and Edith was quite uncomfortable. Surgery was the only possibility and that really wasn’t an option, due to her overall health.

With an extremely heavy heart, the decision to send this lovely old girl to the rainbow bridge, was made.

Thanks to all for sending your kind wishes and love to sweet Edith in her final days. She has truly touched the hearts of many and will be sorely missed.

Fran has been feeding Edith special meals, but she had to leave town for a few days, so I’m feeding Edith. She literally sniffed the can turkey & veggie stew dog food and turned her head away, this morning. I left the food next to Edith’s bed, came back in awhile, and she’s eaten all but the veggies! She’s a picky GSD, through and through!!!
