Well I did a thing… after a 2 year divorce I’m out on my own turning a little condo into a place of peace my boys and me! After decades of being told “no” and what I couldn’t do, the freedom to do whatever I want is insanely amazing!!!

I started small with my powder room… Overall, maybe $800 total! If you’re in Ohio, check out the app OLA! The light fixture was originally $98. I paid $5. The mirror was originally $80. I paid $7! 💪 The marble top vanity was originally $459 at Home Depot… But if you talk to the managers really nicely when things go on sale, they’ll sell you the floor models. I paid $50 for this one!

But the best part is, I did all of it myself! With my own hands! All the Decon, all the recon, all the plumbing, all the electrical, tile and grout ! 💪 it’s not perfect! But it’s all mine!!!

I still have finishing touches but I’m feeling so proud! (Backsplash, ceiling molding, towel hook)

You can truly do anything you put your mind to!!!

I don’t have an entry way so I made one 😍 made a cute little mudroom nook out of a closet!

My favorite photo that includes a budget “art” piece. We remodeled our house a couple of years ago and towards the end of the project the budget was extremely tight. So… the canvas over the sectional is a cloth shower curtain from Target (less than $20) and my husband built the frame from wood he already had in his shop. We all ❤️ it!

We have this empty space above our TV. Unless I find something really special, I may just leave it empty. Your thoughts? Two restrictions that I absolutely will not do: No mirror and No clock!!!

I took a bashing here for painting my orange, fake brick fireplace. It didn't mesh with my mcm vibe and the rest of the open concept. I am planning new art and walnut mantel with granite hearth. But this is it until next phase. I like it, and that's all that matters. 😉
