This is Gene Anders.

Something very special happened for The King Elvis and his brother Sir Smashy! They will live together fur ever. It was my dream this would happen since they have been the only two together since birth.

We love all of our adopted fur babies!

Dear Sandy,
Our new baby, Smoochy, has been a wonderful addition to our family. He has brightened our home and made a great companion for our English Mastiff, Tank. He is growing up very fast and the vet says that he is in wonderful health. It is evident that Smoochy was cuddled and loved on in the first 6 weeks of his life. We have already spoken to many people about your Shih tzus and have shown pictures to all. We cannot express the happiness that we have been given with our new Shih tzu. We will keep you up to date with his growth and send pictures. Please feel free to use me as a reference anytime.

How to recognize a scam.

If the page or group have the words “rehome” or “adoption”, it is a scam. There are very few exceptions. There are some groups that have those words, but it’s a catch all for ALL breeds. A few scammers have gotten clever and started breed specific groups with those words.

Also, scammers ALWAYS piggyback off someone else’s posts. They troll, and comment on every post they can with a link to a page or group. The posts sometimes start with “I hope this is allowed…”, or “I got scammed 3 times before I found…”, or something to that effect. Their intro sentence is followed by a sob story, sometimes a hard luck story, and always contains a recommendation and referral link. Breeders normally have a kennel name and that is what is on their page. For example, mine is Precious Tzu Crew (I’m thinking about changing it to something more elegant).

Many breeders watermark their photos to help prevent photo theft. Scammers love to swipe stick photos and photos from legitimate breeders. I see a lot of breeders placing their watermark in the corner of their photos. However, that will not stop a scammer. They crop photos if they think they can remove the watermark that way. I place my watermark (when I bother to watermark…it is time consuming) - at a minimum - across the top of the 🐶’s head. If you see a photo that is cropped across the top of the head, you know it’s a stolen photo.

Legitimate breeders should be willing to allow potential visitors to their home for a meet and greet. However, do not fault the breeder if they do not allow this. Some are fussy about what people can potentially bring into their environment via shoes; they don’t know if the potential client is scouting out their home to steal 🐶; and they don’t know if the “potential client” is AR (animal rights). At a minimum, the breeder should allow a video chat that also shows their face. That way they can show you the babies they have, as well as the pawrents, and their facility.

Finally, scammers (remember, they are getting clever), will almost always promise more than what is reasonably possible. They will ask for 💲💲💲💲💲 for a 🐶 and tell you that includes front door delivery - no matter where you are in the United States. A decent 🐶 will be at least twice what a scammer asks for. However, there are scammers that want what breeders ask for, as well as 🐶 mills. You can’t go on 💲 alone. There are other factors, one of which the pressure to commit. Sometimes they try to guilt you.

Dogs can detect bad people! Read on:

They can smell fear, but can they smell truth? Your dog may be smarter than you think. It turns out that dogs are pretty good at detecting human behavior. Science says so. A study was conducted that found that dogs really know whether or not they should believe you.
The study involved fooling the dogs in the name of science. Humans have known for a long time that if you point at an object, a dog will run towards it. The researchers used this information in their study. During the experiment, they pointed to a container that was filled with hidden food. Sure enough, the dog ran to the container. They then pointed to a container that was empty.

The dogs ran towards him, but found that he had no food.The third time investigators pointed to a food container, the dogs refused to go to the container. They knew the person he was pointing at was not to be trusted based on their previous experience. 34 dogs were used in the experiment and none of the dogs approached the container a third time. This experiment shows that dogs can detect a liar or that dogs have major trust issues.

In other words, if you lie to your dog, your dog will form the opinion that your word is not good and will behave accordingly. «Dogs have a more sophisticated social intelligence than we thought. This social intelligence evolved selectively in their long life history with humans.The results indicate that dogs prefer predictability. When gestures are inconsistent, dogs tend to get nervous and stressed.
