Congrats to the Brooks family on their first puppy ever! Gumbo 😂(formerly Caramelo) is off to meet their girls.

I made the delivery right outside my second home (the basketball gym)😂. Ran in to catch a game after drop off. Puppies and basketball are my life ❤️

Update: My new family picked me up today 🤎

I have a couple people who are getting puppies for the first time ever or it’s been a while since they have had a puppy. I put the following list together to help them out. Post in the anything I missed or you recommend that really helped you all get acclimated to a new puppy/dog…

Potty training:
-Puppy pads (lots and lots!) best place is from Ross
-Washable puppy pad (Amazon)

Sleeping/lounging
-Crate (22lbs)
-Travel carrier (up to 22lbs)
-couple of beds (I prefer with zippered covers so they can be washed). I wrap the foam on the inside with a trash bag.

Walking:
-Trainers recommend choke collars (I would go with medium)
-If you aren’t comfortable, a harness (up to 22lbs) or collar (Medium to large eventually). They will go through multiple collars as they grow

Feeding
-Food (I feed them 4Health puppy food from the Tractor Supply Co)
-Food bowl/water bowl

Grooming
-Grooming wipes
-Brush
-Slicker
-Shampoo and Conditioner (I use Mane and Tail)
-Baby wash (Baby Magic) for their face
-Dog toothbrush and toothpaste
-Coconut oil for paws
