For the first time in my entire pet ownership I had to pay for grooming. 🥲 We just have not had the time to maintain the dogs and they were embarrassing to look at, especially since I know better. They all had freaking Talons and when Molly made me bleed when jumping on me I knew we had to bite the bullet.

Zoey put in some WORK on all three of them! They look like the well loved Millennial pets that they are. They all did great and were rewarded with a Cow Ear afterwards but really I did it for my sanity. 🤪 This house looked like a snow globe.

Friday was my last groom and today is my 8 year anniversary in the industry!

This job has a lot of ups and downs and it’s SO draining on your body physically, mentally and emotionally for all its various reasons that I won’t bore you with but I just wanted to give thanks. Without having customers that trust me with their family members I wouldn’t be where I am today.

In 2018 we were able to buy the 4runner which has provided us with SO many priceless memories in road trips and trails with friends. In late 2018 we were able to move into our Saginaw home which gave us a roof over our heads and became the central hub for friends and family to hang out in. COUNTLESS festivals and concerts to escape reality, COUNTLESS vacations (big or small), I was able to go get my monthly manicures as my self care time, I was able to spoil my dogs & Tony, I never had to worry about groceries but we won’t talk about that electric bill. 😂

I could have always taken more clients per day and frankly, charged more but I never felt the need to. I had everything I needed in life plus some. I loved spending time with my clients and making them feel their best. I loved getting to know my clients on a personal level and forming relationships with them as well. Don’t think that I ever took any of you or your time, trust or money for granted. I will miss everyone- including the naughty dogs so please keep me in the loop. 🥹

I haven’t forgotten about y’all!

We went up to Chicago for a week so my siblings can meet Baby since San Antonio is an even longer road trip and before Tony’s starts his new job. We got back and been full force juggling the dogs, the baby and still doing showings on the house. I think I have more of a better timeline of how long I’ll be up in the area still so I’ll nail down my schedule and reach out to everyone who wanted one last appointment. 🥰

One last groom with Nolan before I leave.

Nolan is my favorite dog because when I first met him he had to be muzzle for everything! Then we eventually grew a trusting relationship and he would only snip at your hand when closing him in a kennel (pro tip- use your shoe). Then it got to the point where he was trying to get me to play with him. He wanted to be chased around the room so bad. When I started doing him at my house he immediately made himself at home by rummaging through our dog’s toy box and sprinting around the yard with my dogs. On days where Mom could only drop off early we would go back to bed and catch a few more minutes of snoozing before we started his grooming. 😂 I consider him one of my dogs that I get visitation every 6 weeks with. Tony loves him just as much and he is Turbo’s best friend. Turbo loves his play dates with Nolan. 😭

😭 I have to break up with all of you. I swear it’s not you- it’s me.

Tony got a job offer in San Antonio so we will relocating in the next few weeks. We are leaving for vacation to visit my family tomorrow and then when we come back Tony’s heading down there to start work. Baby and I will stay up here until the house sells so I’ll still have availability to groom your dog one last time, if you choose! I’ll work on my availability this week but honestly we’re just kinda playing everything by ear so please be flexible with me.

I had my surgery yesterday and am not able to work for at least another two weeks. 🥲 I can’t have it wet or covered, unless I’m going into the sun they want a loose bandana over it so the humidity and pet dander flying around is a big no no until I’m cleared by the doctor.

Long story short is I had a patch of Nevus Sebaceous on my crown for years now and it finally tested positive for Basal Cell Carcinoma and instead of just removing the Basal Cell the dermatologist wanted the entire area removed so the threat of new cells in the future is unlikely.
I have a ~5” seam down the part of my scalp with 15 stitches and 6 staples. I’m in a lot of pain (imagine the worst migraine you’ve had in your life times 2 and then being kicked by steel toe boots) and on some good pain killers so I’m extremely groggy as well. I know y’all miss me and I miss you too! 😊

Hello friends!!

We’re coming near the time where I *should* be coming back to work but unfortunately I’m having surgery next week (of course that was the soonest they could get me in) and frankly I’m entirely unsure of what the healing process is going to look like. I will ask my doctor and report back to y’all as soon as possible. 😍 Just wanted to touch base.
