Zoey is a sweet little pixie-sized 9m female mini Aussie with an easy disposition and curious nature.

Zoey has an energy level of 6-9 depending on the environment where she is. She is a typical Australian Shepherd who can be energetic and playful and who loves space to run around freely or with another dog.

Zoey loves to play fetch and tug of war. She her blue rubber ball to chase but sometimes decides to run off with it and not return it right away. She also loves squeaky toys.

Zoey knows basic commands, she taps you for petting and for treats. She loves to cuddle and snuggle with her person and though she may bark a little when meeting a new person she warms up quickly.

Zoey is still really young (and so is her kind and well-intentioned owner). She realizes she is not ready for the full-time responsibility of a puppy and reached out to DASH right away. She wants to be sure Zoey’s new owner has time to spend socializing her more with other dogs and going on walks and car rides and other fun adventures.

We also want a stable, mature owner and home situation where a human is around during the day to spend time with Zoey.

Zoey would also be good with a submissive male canine companion; she is not alpha at all but hasn’t gotten to spend a lot of time with other dogs. As a puppy this is important stimulation for her.

🍀🍀 Fun, Friendly FINN 🍀🍀

Finn is a gorgeous red tri-color standard Australian Shepherd male. He is approximately 18 months old and currently weighs 40 pounds.

Finn is a typical young Aussie; he is very agile and energetic and loves to play ball, chase flying bugs, go on walks and explore. He has recently gotten into fetching and returning the ball; he’s a quick learner!

Finn is also extremely content just relaxing at your feet. He lives for affection from his people. Belly rubs and cheek rubs are his favorite! He’s got moderate energy level and acclimates to the environment around him.

Finn is crate-trained; he’s learned in our home as a foster but probably wasn’t before coming to DASH. He doesn’t mind a lead but will need additional leash training. He loves to play in a big backyard!

Finn is also well-behaved indoors; he hasn’t chewed on anything that’s not for the dogs.

Finn is very comfortable inside or outside. We let him out frequently and he hasn’t had accidents in the house. He can be in a crate if needed. Like most rural dogs he prefers to do his business outside.

Finn craves human attention and would be happy as an only dog. If he has a canine companion we would prefer a laid- back female.

💙💙 JAX ADOPTED 💙💙

Jax is a stunningly handsome black tri-color standard Australian Shepherd male. He is approximately 18 months-old currently weighs 38 lbs.

Jax just wants a family to love and be loved by! He is incredibly affectionate and gentle and is all about the belly rubs and cuddles! While he can be high energy like any Aussie and loves walks and exploring, he also settles easily and is quite happy just relaxing on the couch next to you or lying on the floor near you.

Jax is crate-trained but doesn’t need to be especially since we are looking for a home where people are home more often than not.

Jax is happy playing outside in the yard with a dog-buddy or two or relaxing while the wind blows through his beautiful coat.

Jax is also very happy indoors and will follow his humans around or lie contentedly on a dog bed or sofa and chill out.

While Jax loves his people he would also do well with a similar breed-mix female who is an omega dog like he is. A female will likely be his boss but Jax will acclimate to the fact that women are in charge in the dog world just like the human world 🤣😂

Jax has an energy level of 5-6; he’s calm and cuddly and on a mission for human attention but he will still enjoy leash walks and probably become more interested in “playing” with toys, balls etc once he’s settled and knows he’s finally home!

Jax has been in his foster home along with his brother for 3 weeks, they were found stray near Greenville, TX together. Both boys acclimated QUICKLY to being happy, coddled indoor dogs and Jax is definitely ready for his New Forever to Begin!

Ranger is friendly and loves people and other dogs. He has also lived and done well with cats.

Ranger has enjoyed hiking off leash; he’s been to parks that are barely inhabited and runs arounds on the trail, but always looks back to see where his owner is.

Ranger comes back when called. He knows the basic commands like sit, stay/wait. He is crate trained but is afraid of thunder and storms; he needs to be secured inside and preferably with his humans

Ranger’s favorite thing is being with his people: eating, drinking, cuddling, playing, walking, jogging, hiking and LOVING.

Ranger loves running, whether it is after a squirrel or on a short race with you he is fast!

Ranger is a protector of the house and will bark to alert you if someone is at the door. His bark is loud enough to scare away who you don’t want around BUT welcoming of the people you do!

Ranger would do great with a family or couple that loves to be outdoors and is active. Ideally, a stay-at-home human or someone who works from home would be good for him because his only fear is being left all alone - in fact we all think a home with another established dog like a laid-back male or female would be comforting companionship for Ranger.

🌞🌞 Meet Loyal Lovin’ Leo! 🌞🌞

LEO is a gorgeous mixed-merle Aussie who is a poster boy for the breed: athletic, intelligent, loyal and lovable.

Leo loves to play frisbee and fetch tennis ball. He loves water and has spent a lot of time outdoors by the lake. Leo Also loves bright sunny days; he’ll relax on porch for hours until we make him come in!

Leo loves to explore and roam free in large safe spaces; while we require a safe, high fenced yard Leo has been trained with recall and once settled with his new family will be great off-leash when out hiking or running around on acreage.

Leo is the best car rider ever! We have a 4Runner so our back window rolls down and he will just sit and watch all the cars. We have made probably 20-30 trips back and forth from Dallas to Tyler and he is awesome!

Leo is highly intelligent, he knows several basic commands. He takes great directions, he’ll bring you ball to your hand and sit and wait until you tell him to go. Leo will respond eagerly to learning new commands and tricks because he loves to please his people.

Leo is a huge lover boy. He will cuddle you for hours up until you make him get down and then he will be sad with you. HAHA. Leo is true to Aussomeness of the breed and will follow you wherever you go.

TRIXIE is a beautiful and easygoing mini Aussie who happens to be blind. She was not born blind; sadly she was working with large livestock and … was kicked by a horse 😞😢

But Trixie has adapted REALLY WELL and it’s amazing how capable and smart she is in the house and outside!

Trixie is housebroken - she will need to be led out a few times to learn the pattern and smell but then she’s perfect! Im very impressed with how quickly she learned my house and how well she does with all the other dogs.

Trixie is a CUDDLE-BUG! She’s an ideal dog for someone who is home a lot and likes an easy-going loyal little dog. Trixie is very tuned in to human voices, will follow the voice and you can see her face and body light up and respond to the attention.

Someone out there needs to spoil this baby who lived outdoors, blind, through all the recent bad weather and I don’t want to think of what else. She’s only 3 and has a normal life span and can be taught countless voice commands like any other mini Aussie!

💙💛 Benjamin Bean Bryan 💛💙

BENJI
Is a 3 year old purebred red tricolor Aussie who is sooooo lovable, gentle and sweet in disposition that we are considering him for homes with kind, responsible children who have herding breed experience.

Benji has been a loyal and loving best bud, protector, wing-dog, co-Pilot and companion for his young owner; she moved to Texas from Michigan and her job and lifestyle here have changed. For her we are happy that she’s found success; for Benji we are helping her find the type of home and owner she wants for his future that she is struggling to provide.

This decision is never easy but we are here to help the humans realize their beloved dogs will start fresh and move forward when we find the right home!

Benji is well-trained in behavior and several trucks and commands. He knows Sit, Lie down, spin, high five, fist bump, kiss, speak, whisper all of which he will perform
For both hand signals and verbal commands.

At Benji’s highest activity level he can range from 8-10 out of 10, however, apt life and a year older now has proven better and calmer behavior to be expected of a 3 year old Aussie.

Benji is extremely smart and observant. He learns super fast and is extremely food and snuggle motivated when learning new tricks. He loves to sleep in the superman position, and lovessss to snuggle up next to you on the couch.

Benjis unique and quirky trait is that he likes to hold hands while you watch TV 😂 He’s a sensitive boy who is secure in his place so he can admit some TV shows are just plain… emotional 🤣💙

Benji loves rope toys and little food games like lickmats, kongs, etc. He LOVES peanut butter it’s a fantastic lure for training and treats.

Benji has had separation anxiety since we moved to Texas. Although He will bark when you leave at first he definitely stops as soon as he realized it won’t give him attention. Benji is good in the house and will not destroy furniture or items in the home when left for a reasonable amount of time. DASH requires homes where if someone is gone more than 4 hours that someone will check on the dog during the 3-3-3 decompression perfume.

Benji is also content and willing to go in the crate if you would prefer; please make sure he has water and a challenging chew-toy to keep him busy. We have trained him that his crate is a safe space all his own: a man-cave, dorm room and den where he is safe and comfy.

Benji loves all people; he doesn’t cause problems with other dogs but he needs more time around them in controlled environments for socialization. He is never confrontational but if he feels timid he will walk away and not engage.

Benji LOVES to be outside but he does jump on people trying to give them love. This is some training that can be easily remedied; I’ve felt bad we haven’t spent as much time together so I’m loving him extra but know in a new home he will learn new boundaries. He’s never mean just young and sometimes doesn’t know his space.

Benjis only over anxiety his loud thunderstorms but he isn’t destructive he just wants to be near his people to cuddle.

I’m hoping DASH will help find Benji a home with kids and other pets so that he is constantly stimulated. Somewhere with a backyard for him to run around. I currently have a cat and he loves to tease her lol but I’d never mean or aggressive.

Surrendering Benji is the hardest decision I’ve faced in my life so far. I want his new family to know that I’m heartbroken and Benji did nothing wrong. I hope they’ll reach out with questions and keep me posted as I process how different my life will be without him.

But this is the best decision for Benji so we want this next home to be truly FOREVER!

Jolly Joyous JACKSON!

💙🐾 DEAF BUT HEALTHY 🐾💙

Jackson is a beautiful young DEAF Aussie-Rough Coat Collie looking for a Forever Home and Family! He is from a healthy, normal litter but happens to be deaf - that doesn’t stop him from being the greatest pet and friend!

Jackson has an otherwise-typical Australian Shepherd energy level of 7 to 8 until he settles down for naps and bedtime. He is a happy and smart boy!

Jackson loves to be outside, to play fetch, play with any kind of toy, and always has a bone to chew on. He also loves to go on walks, play in water, and have play dates with neighbor dogs.

When walking Jack around the neighborhood we are constantly told just how handsome he is. He is crate trained and housebroken and can use a doggy door. He can be left free in the house when we go to work.

Jack has some typical but expected herding behaviors but is very eager to please and responds well to training. He’s always GENTLE and is very cuddly; he loves to be peered and snuggled.

A great home for Jack would be one with outdoor space and plenty of exercise time. Also someone who has experience with deaf dogs and who knows how smart and amazingly quickly they learn new commands and tricks!

Jackson has done well in a home with children as young as a 4 year old girl that likes to give lots of hugs and knows no personal space 🙂

He adores men; I had to get my car rim replaced at discount tire and he just loved the attention from them. He was like "what's this? whats that?" His head was swirling he was beaming from attention of all the men!

He wanted my bacon and egg taco... he loves his food, anyone's food, so he will be good to train with treat motivation

He is good with kids, but I recommend older ones, he’s also good with cats and loves other dogs..

Jack LOVES toys; as soon as I got him home he pulled out all the dog toys from our toy box!

His tail is gorgeous, it's so fluffy and pretty!

Jack is ready for the right Forever Home, there's no need to keep him in foster because I have worked with him and know he is well-trained!

Jack just loves being on the bed, lol, like he is the King and the bed is his Kingdom!

💜 Kind 💜Kindred-Spirit 💜 KARMA

KARMA is a gorgeous long-haired German Shepherd looking for a loving family of her own. She’s got a heart of gold, gets along great with other dogs big and small, and kids.

Karma a fluffy and solid girl, about 75 lb. and highly intelligent…you’ll can see it in her eyes. This means she is a quick learner; you only have to tell her once or twice for her to learn something new.

It also means Karma can figure out how things work, like door handles and drawers - which she can then open and close 😬 so she still needs a close eye confident and firm but kind humans to continue training.

Karma’s a people-pleaser, just wants to know how to make you happy, and she LOVES a good walk on a leash; you’d think she was a professionally trained the way she stays at your heel!

When Karma’s excited she’ll chase you and give playful nips on your hand while she “talks to you” to let you know she’s having fun.

Karma and our pittie bonded easily; they spend hours playing tug of war. She’s housetrained and loves to be inside in the A/C. On a scale of 1-10, her energy level is a solid 5. She’s a chilled-out dog who will walk and play if you want to but is otherwise calm and content to lie by your side.

Karma was a stray when we found her and still has a touch of anxiety when she’s left alone. This manifests in not wanting to be alone in the house or left outside without her people and another dog. She does not like being in a crate so we allow her to roam the house.
We believe Karma’s perfect family will be one who works from home and preferably with another dog to show her the ropes. While Karma loves other dogs she’s too fixated on cats, we haven’t let he get too close but do not suggest a home that has any.

Karma will need time to adjust to and decompress in her new environment. She may pace and follow you from room to room. But as required by our adoption contract this decompression will pay off for Karma; in a few days with a good routine in place she will relax and know she is Home. 💜

Karma is currently undergoing Heartworm treatment; all the costs are covered and since she’s only moderate energy level, being calm and cool indoors is easy for her during this treatment. As her fosters we are willing to hold her (once adopted) to complete the treatment but it would be good for Karma to spend that time in her forever home instead. She only needs the time to chill out because the appointment and injection for treatment are already taken care of.

💙 Lovable LITTLE ZEKE ADOPTED 💙

Little Zeke is an adorable cuddle bug mini-Aussie who is looking for a young, fun and playful home.

Little Zeke is slightly hearing impaired but NOT completely deaf. He will need a person, family or couple with training experience or interest and preferably at least one young, playful canine companion.

Little Zeke has a perfect energy level; he’s a rare consideration with us for a home with Aussie-experienced older children. He shows absolutely No Aggression but he’s very eager to play with other dogs, too.

Little Zeke was very well-behaved even while having to wait on stray-hold at a local shelter. He loved everyone there and they loved him! In just a short time at our house he’s so cuddly and comfortable!

While obviously Little Zeke needs an experienced patient home where his hearing impairment can be accommodated, he CAN hear some sounds. He loves squeaker toys close to him; his ears perk up! Little Zeke responds to shrill and loud sounds and has more awareness for thunder & vibrations.

One of Little Zeke’s BEST qualities is he exhibits No Anxiety and I haven’t heard him bark at all!

Little Zeke will go right up to other dogs to sniff them and will respect their responses. He will get in the play stance almost immediately and is eagerly awaiting the Green Light! He will acclimate to the level of play from a leader-dog so both gentle or “ruff-and-tumble” friends will be great.

Little Zeke is also independent. He plays by himself with a toy or a chewy, but he really wants to cuddle and snuggle and be close to any and all humans who are nearby!

This little man is READY for the right home. He has a lovely, sweet disposition and deserves to Begin Forever as soon as the right match can be made!

Pretty Peppy Pixie! 🩷🩷
Pixie is an 8month old Basenji - Sheltie mix; she is a petite 18lbs. Pixie has a heart-shaped mark on her forehead that perfectly matches how loving of a dog she is. She does not know a stranger and just wants love and attention.
Pixie has the typical energy level for her breed. She enjoys walks which definitely help release some of her puppy energy and she does well on a leash. Some days she will still want to play after a walk - she would be a great companion for a larger young male dog.
Pixie loves to be petted, going on walks, playing catch, giving kisses, and she knows basic commands like sit and paw. I also have gotten her to spin a few times as well, so she is a quick learner. She is eager to please and we are confident that anyone that meets her will instantly love her.
Pixie does not know a stranger and just wants love and attention. To know her is to love her; the family who found her wishes they had the lifestyle that would be good for her and they are very sad not to be able to keep her.
When Pixie was found running stray she jumped right into the arms of her temporary family and thanked them with kisses. Their teacup-breed older dogs aren’t friendly to Pixie but she has such a sweet disposition she just ignores them or walks away, she never growls or shows any kind of aggression towards them.
Pixie is NOT afraid of thunderstorms and doesn’t even mind going outside in the yard during the rain - even to play. Loud noises do not bother her;
she even seemed to enjoy getting a bath!
An ideal home for her would owners that are active and have time to tire her out. She will love walks, hiking, or visits to parks to play fetch. We hope to find a canine companion for her since she really loves being with other playful dogs.
As always we want a home for puppies where there is time to dedicate to training, affection, exercise and love. The family who has been fostering her hasn’t used a crate but she does go outside to go potty. We would still recommend crate-training for her safety and want owners who will be patient during her transition to her new home.

Kona has 3 sets of boosters and originated from a breeder in West Texas; she was originally purchased for a non-profit fundraiser - but was replaced by a French Bulldog puppy at the last minute. We are so glad the woman caring for her found a way to get her to Dallas to a local family who helped get her to DASH.

Kona is READY NOW for a forever home. As always we want a home with an Aussie-experienced couple; we want homeowners where someone is home during the day since baby puppies need LOTS of attention, affection, training and love.

Ideally there would be a young male canine companion for Kona to play with; she’s peppy and active and would love a dog-friend.

This sweet girl is here & ready to begin FOREVER; she has been moved around the past week but remains spirited and sparky - loves her toys, cuddles and definitely humans to love her back!
