Our Story

Kata graduated with honors from Animal Behavior College in 2007 and established Cave Canis with a focus on Obedience Training and Problem Behavior. She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

Kata’s first dog training experience involved training seeing-eye dogs in Budapest and over the course of her career she has also worked for groomers and as a veterinary assistant.

In 2016, she began working with gun dogs using positive reinforcement only. She believes that if owners take the time to build a bond with their dogs, they can achieve the same goals that they would with an e-collar.
